We decided to go to The Village with our family to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary on the 22nd December 2023. It's fully halal, which made it even easier to list them as one of our places to try out. It was our first time to go there, so we went with an open mind.Kids under 11 pays cheaper . Bare in mind it's a buffet & you have 2 hours to enjoy yourself with an extensive spread of starters, a variety of main dishes , drinks & delicious deserts to interest any sweet tooth. The venue is very spacious with huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling & the delicious aromas of foods to seriously get your tummy interested. Soft music was playing in the background, which was actually quite lovely. FYI .. there are bathroom facilities inside the premises at the back. We were shown to our table , which was already set up with white table linen , crockery as well as eating utensils & glasses. The waiter was extremely friendly & just gave us the set up of The Village & gave us the options to choose from wrt their beverages/ drinks. Only fizzy drinks, no juice . So I had to improvise by popping in by the nearby shop for my juice to quench my thirst. This was seriously no hassle at all. We started with the starters , which were quite a few tasty treats to start off with. I recommend their chicken pasta. Absolutely delicious. There were too many to mention, but their garlic potatoes were unbelievable. They have sushi as well for those who love that. Our kids had a bit of everything of their starters. Big mistake🤣. We realised we had to pace ourselves, as I'm not a big eater, but the same can't be said about my hubby. We quickly stepped outside for some fresh air for a few minutes, then resumed our celebration. Next up was the mains. From prawns, spare ribs, curries, various rice dishes, fried chicken, butter chicken, etc. The spare ribs were incredible. The kids loved the chicken too. Everything were well prepared & there were neverending supplies. Obviously there's veggies as well for the health enthusiasts. We went so crazy with the variety available, eventually we sat there with our glasses half full & by now hubby's pants were threatening to burst. Another break was needed , but to our amusement not even an hour of the allocated 2 hours elapsed. Hubby was obviously determined to eat himself silly. Next up after a break which felt like an eternity & fighting against falling asleep due to obvious overeating, , we were ready for desert. Once again there were too many deserts to even mention. Their malva pudding is amazing. We had some waffles & I opted for blueberry cheesecake ice cream on mine. Heavenly... There's a variety of ice creams. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & knew their job. The dirty dishes were always cleared by staff members who would come around to ask if everything was ok. When I told the one lady at the ice cream parlor that it's our wedding anniversary & it's 22 years of marriage , she was so sweet. I even got an extra scoop of ice cream. Another male colleague told us that he's only married for 2 years & looked at us like we were insane🤣. Our experience at the Village was lovely & we'll definitely return. In fact we have enquired about the venue for functions eg weddings etc. Please ask at the front desk for further information. This is definitely worth it & I'm sure you'll enjoy...

If you like food and you like value for money. Then the Village buffet is the place to be!
They really know how to show you a good time!
I heard about them a few years ago on the radio and from other people who were raving about them. I also suggested once, we have our year end there. But never quite got round to going there. Until today...
My friend and I had an early lunch. We had a discount voucher from Cape Town Coupon. But even without the voucher, their prices are amaizing, way better than many of their peers.
They brought us towering mixed grills(R120 a platter) I haven't seen so much food in a while! We each took more than half home.
Its lockdown and like most of us, I'm watching my pennies. I have been checking lots of rib and seafood prices online. And many many times find the other places to be plain ridiculous! Often I just dont order anything. I really didnt expect this pleasant surprise. Thank you Village Buffet.
I plan to go back.. a few times, as I HAVE to try: the starter mussels, the seafood platters. the waffle, Chicken curry, lamb curry, lamb chops etc( See menu...
