Dear KFC Team,
I am extremely disappointed with my recent order from KFC Long Street placed via Uber Eats. I spent R815 on the full range of Kentucky Town items (ordered everything times two) and what I received was far from acceptable.
Here’s what I actually received:
2x Six Gun Zinger Braai Burgers (burgers only – no meals)
2x Doritos Nacho Burgers
Missing from the order:
2x Hot Honey Dunked Wings
2x Chips (that were meant to be part of the burger meals)
2x Cokes
2x Blazed Double Down Burgers (I was told these were unavailable)
4x Oreo Krushers were requested as a replacement for the unavailable items (thankfully, these were included and were the only enjoyable part of the entire order)
The order took over an hour to arrive. When we received it, we immediately called KFC Long Street to report the missing items. The staff said they would try to contact the driver and send the missing items. We eventually received:
1x Fries (should have been 2)
2x Doritos Nacho Chips (barely had any toppings, mostly sauce)
1x Coke (should have been 2)
1x Hot Honey Dunked Wings (should have been 2)
To make matters worse, all food items were ice cold and tasted terrible. The overall experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the cost. We contacted KFC Long Street again to request a refund, as the order ruined our evening and we lost our appetite completely.
This is simply unacceptable, especially during the launch of Kentucky Town. As professionals working in the hospitality industry ourselves, we found the service and quality shocking — especially given the premium price point.
I expect a full refund for this order and hope you take this feedback seriously to prevent such experiences in the future.

Read moreWe had the Crunch Burger and Regular Twister today, as we were really looking forward to these, as it it were always one of our favourite dishes on the KFC menu. The Crunch Burgers only had a thin and dry piece of chicken, slice of cheese, and a bit of sauce on it, on a very small bun, dry and tasteless, yet they charge R30 per burger. The Regular Twister was totally disgusting, with a DRY and tasteless piece of chicken on it, with some tomato and a small bit of sauce. The little small excuse of chicken on that thing was hard, dry, and tasteless, and you could actually taste and feel the individual dry pieces of chicken meat fibres in your mouth! And yet KFC charges almost R60 for that rubbish! I have not had that poor quality from any other KFC outlet yet, and must say that KFC Long Street in Cape Town is by far the worst and should be ashamed of the garbage that they sell to their customers! I am very dissapointed and expected much better from KFC as their food is normally very nice and tasty and cannot help to feel to be ripped off by the absolutely poor quality food at this...
