THE worst resturant experience of my entire life! The service was horrible, the food taste liked it was cooked by rank amateurs. The place is run about as inefficient as I've ever witnessed.

The Fillet- stored horrifically in a plastic container in a glass case under light. The meat was mis-colored. I asked for mine medium and it came back well done and butterflied. So even after cheating and cutting a R450 steak, they still couldn't get it right! This is why they try and convince you to get the meat slathered in a sauce.

The Braised Greens- over salted and filled with onions!

The pork ribs- sauce was terrible and the meat so overcooked the fat began to turn to gelatin.

The mashed potatoes- the lone bright spot in this otherwise horrendous exercise. Very creamy, tasty and spot on.

Buttered potatoes- couldn't tell you... they never delivered them to our table!

The Service- where do I began... our waiter was so inattentive that we had to beg other waitstaff to help us with drinks and even ordering our meal. We watched as our so-called waiter pranced around the dining area lavishly attending to other patrons, occasionally dropping by the bar to chat up his buddies, but mostly standing at the POS system desperately punching in information looking terribly lost!

We were served our side dishes first, almost like an appetizer, but that was nearly a full hour after we'd been seated. Other patrons came after us and still ordered and left before we were served entrees.

By this point our pathetic waiter, knew he had zero chance for a tip so he simply ignored us for the rest of the evening.

After paying I searched for a manager or supervisor and found no one. Needless to say, I'd never, ever return to this place and discourage all others from wasting their time and money! They truly did not deserve the 1 star I was forced...

i stopped by earlier today to get a cup of coffee and a cigarette after i'm tired after some travel and just checked in at a luxury hotel at the near and come in and asked for a cofee and place to smoke and a nice male waiter fast took my order and show me to a free table at the front of the resturant. I just manage to sit down when a very rudely snobbish talking couple comes and wants to sit at the table at the same time and immediately scolds me directly about they had first, but I had already got the table and ordered coffee to it, where I heard afterwards an another waiter at the entrance as I am about to sit down directing them to the same coffee table. Embarrassingly, I get gene gone and even worse and where I already gotten it first and already have ordered to the table. Worse I and the spectators witness saw how this waiter apologizes to this couple for the inconvenience that I am at "their table" which was already "mine" and have to be pushed to a table next to which there is already a beautiful woman sitting. it is smoker sharing tables which this couple would shamelessly demand for themselves. To the waiter's shame, I left immediately because of this embarrassing and very rudely unpleasant experience and they therefore also missed out the 300ZAR I wanted to tip. I was the one who came in a Stenden university hoodie and a black cap, and since I'm from Norway I'm therefore not to appear/ show off with my great prosperity/wealth. Unacceptable and very nasty treatment from this waiter at the door and...

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Vixies, and it was all due to one particular server an older man with grey hair, a beard, and an Italian accent. His behavior was shockingly rude and condescending.

We had just come from watching a game at DHL and weren’t particularly hungry, except for one of us. There were three of us in total. When the server came to take our order, the person who was hungry asked for the salmon pasta, while my other friend mentioned that we wouldn’t be eating. At that point, the server bluntly stated, “You have to order two meals.” I was so taken aback I thought I had misheard him.

He left and said he would come back, leaving us all surprised and confused at the table. When he returned, my friend clarified that only one of us would be eating while the other two would just have drinks since we were still full. He then said, “At his restaurant, we have to order food as it is dinner.”

Naturally, my friend asked if this rule was written anywhere, as we weren’t going to be forced to order food we didn’t want. Instead of providing any clarity or a polite explanation, he doubled down, stating that if we didn’t order more food, we’d need to sit at the bar.

His tone throughout this interaction was condescending, unprofessional and downright rude. This server clearly doesn’t understand basic customer service. We came for a relaxed evening but his attitude completely ruined the experience. I don’t recommend this place if you expect to be treated...
