I decided to try Capello Boksburg, because it was recommended by my colleagues at SAA, who are regular visitors. What a big mistake!
I had reserved a table for 7 for Saturday afternoon. The person on the person I spoke to on the phone was borh courteous and professional. He even read back my personal details to ensure they were correct when he took them down.
The following day, we arrived for our reservation. I informed the person at the door that we had a reservation. She looked oblivious at me, and was by no means pleasant. At no point dud she even bother to check the reservation book. When I told her that I wasn't happy with her attitude and that i wanted to speak to the manager. He too was not polite nor professional. He told me that no reservations are taken for Saturday lunchtime. He too didn't even bother to see if a table had been reserved for me, so he just left us standing at the door and decided to put us in an area near the bar, and without first asking if that was okay. In fact, he then stood there waving us to come to the tables, which still required cleaning. Despite the restaurant NOT been busy, it still took an hour before we received our meals. I had previously spoke to two dufferent managers about the SLOW service, and one if them said that I should have mentioned that I had a plane to catch, which to me is unnecessary. There's no point in having servers standing doing very little, when the kitchen staff can't get food out in less than an hour. Also, why do you have managers outside having a smoke, opposite your parking lot?
A very disappointing experience and a waste of money! I spent R1500. This kind of service wouldn't happen in Cape Town. I fly to JHB on a monthly basis, and usually go to Hussar Grill, where they know how to be professional and courteous. Should you want to retain me as a customer as well as my mates, I strongly recommend that you do something to get me to visit next month.

Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at Capellos Boksburg. On multiple occasions, I have experienced unprofessional behavior from the security personnel and management.
Six months ago, I reported an incident where a security guard made me feel uncomfortable. Despite my complaint, the issue was not adequately addressed. In fact, the same security guard later physically assaulted me and chased me out of the premises.
Yesterday, December 13, 2024, I visited Capellos Boksburg with my colleagues and was denied entry due to my attire. However, I observed that other patrons wearing similar or even shorter clothing were allowed to enter. I believe this decision was unfair and discriminatory.
I hope that you will take my complaint seriously and take necessary steps to address the issues I have raised.

Read moreI took my wife and family to Capello's Boksburg for her birthday last night 9/1/2018. Our kids are grown already. We were 10 people and were not impressed by this restaurant at all!! We ordered our food at 19h00. The burgers were quite quick, but the sushi (which was on special) only arrived at 20h30! After we have asked for it 4 times! The manager is totally incompetent and should be at most a waiter. The kitchen performance lacks management. My steak was overcooked, tough and not 300 grams as I ordered. I came to the conclusion that Capello's is a party and drinking restaurant with a meal as a side order and not a Restaurant. I will never go there again and will advice family's not to got there at all. I have never had this bad service in my whole life. I am 55 and eat at restaurants a lot all over the world.
