Little Neros — Restaurant in Gauteng

We had my grand daughter's 18th birthday party there last night. Although the food was quite good, everything else was very bad. One waiter/bar man for 50 people. He was asleep most of the time. He sat on the bar stool behind the counter with his head on his arms. We had to wake him up to serve us. He brought a glass of red wine to our table but spilt most of it on the table cloth. Just to disvover that the wine was hot! I couldn't believe it! There was supposed to be welcoming drinks at 18:00 - red Grapetizer with marachino cherries with stems - nothing! After complaining we got the drinks at about 19:30, without the cherries. Here and there some of the glasses had a single glaced cherry in the Grapetizer, although we paid for the much more expensive option. To begin with the tablecloths and curtains were not clean and the chaircovers in a bad state. The tiebacks were not as discussed and ordered, and did not look good at all. As agreed we took birthday cake along, but there was no cake lifters as was promised.The crockery was shocking! Plates and mugs were chipped, and the water/juice jugs on the tables were so badly chipped that you didn't actually want to use it. The dessert - icecream with chocolate sauce - was served much, much later than it was supposed to be, and only after we asked them about it. When at last it came it was no more than dirty looking watery milk. I wish I could explain exactly how bad the experience was. My daughter and son in law wanted to treat my grand daughter and give her a special party for her birthday, but I am afraid that their very hard earned money was wasted. There is no way that I can recommend this place to anybody for any kind...

14th September 2024 I had called in August to book a table for my husbands 60th birthday only to have confusion with a different party we had to wait until they sorted out a table ruined the whole atmosphere..because this is my husbands favourite restaurant he booked for 4 people for Xmas day lunch at 12 instead of the lady telling him it's 11am she booked him for 130pm so now we stuck as there are no restaurant's available this time of the year and we were only called on Monday 2nd December for confirmation and I told the lady the time is too late as we have afternoon plans she says sorry we fully booked so what was the purpose of booking 3 months in advance.....thanks to Gary for finding a table for Christmas day for my family I really did not want to cook as I'm sickly truly appreciate the effort UPDATE: I CONTEMPLATED TAKING THIS REVIEW DOWN BUT I WANTED TO LEAVE A HONEST REVIEW, WE HAD XMAS DAY LUNCH 11AM SESSION ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THERE WAS SUCH A VIBE WE WERE WELL SEATED , THE FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR THE OXTAIL ,THE MUSSELS THE BEEF CURRY/STEW ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GIVE THEM A 10 STAR 🌟 IF I COULD...

Pizza, pasta and burger evening. It was the first time we went there on a Monday night. We were quite surprised to see the place empty when we arrived, but within 20minutes the restaurant was full.

They had a great selection of pizza. From the classis Hawaiian to basic chicken and then some more gourmet pizza with a couple of different toppings. They even made sure there's always 2 vegetarian pizzas available.

The pasta was awesome. Again, they had 3 vegetarian options available. Beef, chicken and veg lasagna, which was a hit as the dishes got emptied twice during our dinner.

The burger station seemed to be a hit with children. They kept on filling up the chips, patties and mushroom sauce. I had some of the mushroom sauce, it was really good. Nice chunks of mushrooms that hasn't been cooked to pulp.

The salad station complimented the rest of the food, which I think is a very clever way of making sure...
