There's nothing simple about the simplicity of the hake and chips at Coobs: delicately crispy battered hake with bitter microgreens and chips.
This is the only tartar sauce that I've ever enjoyed (they're usually too bracing for my palate). It's made with a doubly creamy homemade mayonnaise infused with lime zest that makes the whole dish sing.
So perfect that you will want a second helping.
They'll offer you tomato sauce with your meal but just say no unless you have the epicurean tastes of a five-year-old.
You can never have enough chocolate, so Coobs serves their dark chocolate torte with pulled chocolate, roasted chocolate ganache, and a chocolate sorbet. Then they add candied beetroot and a miso caramel because what is a dessert unless excessive?

An explosion of taste when the velvety chicken liver parfait hits the tastebuds and then the unexpected surptise of the sickening sweet taste of a miniture white meringue bursts open among the saviury goodness.
Asian Confit Pork belly and crispy pork shoulder served with roast garlic puree, sprout and shoot salad, charred tatsoi ginger jus and purified crackling. Where do I start. Melt in the mouth tender belly then complimented by the crispyness of the shoulder intertwined in the smooth garlic puree, complimented by the sharpness of the ginger jus. A jiurney of taste travelling into one's being. Then the purified crackling. A texture so unexplanable but extremely satisfying and delightful. Absorbing it into a...
