No matter how great the food is bad service will leave a sour taste in your mouth!

We got there around 8:40pn (late but I called 10 minutes before entering the restaurant to ask when the kitchen closes, the gentleman said 9:30 but we can still come)

I get there, it’s already busy understandably because it’s monthend weekend. I sit then a waiter comes past to ask if I’ve been helped I say no and ask for the cocktail menu. Bare in mind this waiter hasn’t even bothered to introduce himself and tell me his name.

I proceed to wait 15 minutes for my drink (a plain gin and tonic).

My date was running late so when they got there we didn’t take morethan 10 min to order our meal. We opted for the chefs fish of the day. He also still doesn’t know the waiters name btw. We had a running bet to see if he will tell us his name before the night is over.

While waiting for our food we ordered double whiskey without ice it came (15 min later also) with ice then the gentleman said he will change that for us…he must have removed the ice with a dirty utensil because there were strange particles in the glass, we told him he got us a new glass but there is no way that was 2 shots of whiskey but at that stage we were frustrated because everything was taking long so we just took it.

We also ordered tequila shots, they didn’t come with lemon or pineapple but when we looked at the next table that ordered the same their came with that. Another cringe moment.

Our food eventually arrives an hour after we ordered. This is after the manager came and apologized 20 minutes earlier to say it’ll be out in a ‘few’ minutes which I now understand a few minutes is relative.

So now it’s after 10 pm when the food arrives! Honestly that was really good fish, like the food was great that fish was well cooked, crispy skin and moist on the inside, could actually be enough for 3 people.

Now we are extremely hungry munching away like savages cause at this point there’s a few tables left and you can feel the pressure from the waiters to wrap up your meal even though google says they close at 11:30pm.

We had atleast ordered our dessert with the manager in advance because he told us the kitchen closes at 10pm (ps: our waiter didn’t bother informing us of this) once again the dessert was extremely good! We asked for the bill while eating, the waiter came with the machine and I’ll be honest that was the most painful 15% tip I’ve ever paid because the service wasn’t worth it.

Moral of the story! Terrible service can spoil...

I’ve been here once or twice and first off the interior is absolutely gorgeous and comforting. The service is very quick and our waiter was very accommodating!

Their menu has a wide variety of foods to choose from, and it is so fun to order different dishes for everyone to try!

Starters:

-we got 3 dips and pita to share. My foodie heart was so happy with this. I can’t even begin to explain how tasty these dips were.

The hummus was the best hummus I’ve ever tried from anywhere, it tasted so authentic with the blend of chickpeas.

The tirosalata was by far my favorite, this made my culinary heart so passionate and joyful, this dip was beyond beautiful and the hints of chilli balance it so well.

The taramasalata is a very common Greek dip and it was absolutely gorgeous. Love the unique fish dip and the presentation was very stunning.

Mains:

-my mom and I shared some dishes; we had the roasted cauliflower! It was very tasty and at that point I had no idea what I was eating cause it was presented so beautifully, so I just ate and ate. This was a pretty solid side.

the braised leeks, they were very different. These weren’t my favorite as they were quite sweet, couldn’t really stomach it but I loved the different textures!! If you have a sweet tooth you’ll like this! More a dessert than a savory dish to be honest😂.

id highly recommend the pasta saganaki, one of my favorite dishes of the night!! If you’re opting for a bigger dish/main I’d get this but if you’re sticking small then I’d say the prawn saganaki mezedes is your best!!

Overall the experience was enjoyable, but a very special occasion to come here as the prices are very high and portions are quite small which they do specialize in as it is called mezedes after all so. Very hyped up place but a Fun, spontaneous place to try with specific food and everything is cooked with passion and pride which I appreciate. Some may love this place more than others...

My family and I came for my brothers 30th. Honest opinions - First off the interior is absolutely gorgeous and comforting. The service is very quick and our waiter was very accommodating, although the waitress that came to serve our food was quite arrogant, she asked us to move our wine glasses out of the way to place the food which was reasonable but she just asked very rudely, “kindness goes a long way.”
