Being self-employed personally, we understand the difficulties which accompany establishing a profitable business, thus always prefer giving the smaller businesses a second chance at the expense of the established franchised chains. Having oftentimes experienced Indian cuisine, we expected spicy, well-cooked but succulent meat. We ordered a chicken breyani and a portion of samoosas. Unfortunately, we were disappointed ;the samoosas were minuscule and the innards dry ;the chicken breyani an unappetising congealed mess with three chunks of chewy dried chicken pieces. On the positive side, the said portion of chicken breyani was substantial when considering the price. The wife experienced some abdominal discomfort after having ingested a small portion. So, for the light-pocketed and strong - stomached, you should find this venue great. But, for those with emphasis on high culinary standards, best to give a...
Read moreWhen this place opened, the food was nice and they had lovely opening specials and the waitress was so friendly all the time. Not long thereafter, the prices sky rocketed and the food changed. It became less flavorful and was bland. More rice than anything and the manager or owner became rude and unhelpful. This is the closest curry place to where we live but it's become so overpriced and we feel unwelcome there. We absolutely love curry and Indian cuisine but rather go elsewhere where we feel comfortable and where it is affordable. Most of their specials completely stopped and they barely ever have specials. Especially on a Friday. Most curry places have Friday specials and instead of us being told there's no longer Friday specials, we just got unfriendly comments from the manager/ owner (not sure which it is) but cashier/waitress always...

I called the restaurant and they said they'll fix it next time. I decided to give it a second try, called, ordered and reminded them to cook the lamb more. Instead I got 3 big bone pieces with no meat on it. The one good piece in the Rogan Josh was again impossible to chew. They aren't using lamb. It's some other cheap grade of meat. I'd stick to their chicken dishes if you they are your only option on a day.
But overall, worst lamb I've ever had to the point where we just had the gravy. For R125.00, rather take your...
