The Lab Style Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Gauteng

You won’t be disappointed ! Definitely value for money. Our meal and service were faultless.

The decor is colourful, clean, almost clinical. Adjacent to a medical centre The Lab Style theme fits well. Whilst not initially obvious it also has a Portuguese ‘flavour’ to it. The first clue was a group of patrons there at the time were Portuguese speaking. Then, inside, a Barcelos Rooster is on display. It is said that the Rooster is the embodiment of the Portuguese love of life, and certainly the owner displayed that love of life.

When looking for a coffee shop in the area of Klipriviersberg, where we were planning a hike, the name and the high ratings of 4.8 caught my attention.

Arriving for breakfast at around 11h30 we were half expecting to be told the breakfast menu was closed. However, we were pleasantly surprised that they were not only serving breakfast but were also flexible in adding some extras to our Lab Style breakfast order. By the way their Lab Style breakfast includes a cappuccino or coffee - all for R40. It was cooked to perfection, tasty, and with great service (thanks Edias). Following their theme the spicy sauce came in a volumetric flask, and the coffee was served in a glass beaker with mixing rod. Finally I made the connection. The decor colours were picked up from the Barcelos Rooster. It certainly made for an interesting outing. That’s why we like to support owner styled and interesting coffee shops. I want to thank Sara and Monica for an amazing coffee shop (Labstlye) that they run. What wonderful staff. The food is so awesome and the service is so great. At least 3 times per week I'm there and I also ordering food, take away. Thanking you all for your amazing service 🙏 and always with a smile on their face. I had a great time during my last visit here. The café is lab-themed, and all the sauces and drinks came in scientific glassware, something we all thought was a nice touch.
