My family and I had an absolutely fantastic time at Del Forno Mall@Reds and here is why we love it :

Family-Friendly Atmosphere: From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our children, which made our dining experience stress-free and enjoyable. The manager and owner would come and check up on us . We hosted two birthdays there and booked a private area and the kids loved it here.

Perfect for Couples: Despite being kid-friendly, the restaurant also caters perfectly to couples looking for a romantic night out. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, providing a great backdrop for a date night and they have this incredible special for date night which come with their in house wines for R349.00 per couple

Always Something Special: We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of specials offered. It's clear that the chefs take pride in their craft, as each dish we tried was unique and delicious.

Top-Notch Food: The food was simply outstanding. Every bite was full of flavor, and the presentation was impeccable. They truly elevate typical dishes to a gourmet level.

Atmosphere Beyond Compare: The ambiance at Del Forno Mall@Reds is something special. Whether you’re seated indoors or out on the patio, the decor and lighting create a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.

We have eaten at Del Forno several times and always enjoyed the food (raved about it), but this time was a BIG failure.

The prices of their food is always on the pricier side compared to other restaurants, but always made up for in flavor, quality and taste.

We had previously had the standard burger and chips and absolutely loved it, flavorful, juicy, tasty and delicious, so we thought we would try some of their other burgers this time. Big mistake!

Myself and my husband both ordered burgers, and paying R300 for two burgers is alot, but if it makes up in taste, flavor and quality it is worth it. Not this time!

We waited for 45 minutes to get our food, which was a first time it took sooo long.

When we finally did get our burgers, first thing that was apparent was the inconsistency in what we received. My husband got a decent serving of fries where mine was significantly less.

My husband ordered the Peri Feta burger and I ordered the Mushroom Pepper burger. Both of our burgers patties lacked any flavor and were somewhat overcooked. My burger bottom bun was absolutely soaked and soggy and the top bun was also somewhat soggy. Both of our burgers were also cold.

My feeling is that the food sat in the window for some time before being served to us, which resulted in the the buns being completely soaked from all the sauce that was on the burger by the time we received them.

I have never had such a horrible experience eating a burger, where the bottom bun had become a paste on the plate.

I had told our waiter after our meal that the burgers were not great and very soggy, but only got a response of "oh no, sorry".

I do not believe i will ever order a burger again at Del Forno as the price does not justify what you get and would rather just stick to their pizza or chicken schnitzel in future,...

Went to mug and bean for breakfast today, my fiancee and I , wasnt assisted for 20 minutes and Im not paying R200 for a decent breakfast per person and even then its not filling. Stood up and left, decided to go to del forno next to it, I ordered a Steak On pasta, my fiancee ordered a Chilli fried burger, our drinks took 18 minutes to arrive but our waitress was so amazing, i couldnt get her name but shes a blanke with the ponytail, she was so amazing, being attentive and friendly. She took our order but she was waiting for the barrista to make the drinks so its not her fault it took that long. She respected our space yet was also keeping an Eye on us. Our food took 40 minutes but its okay, we werent in a hurry but their food does take long, either way it arrived and the Steak strip pasta tasted phenomenal, steak was done right and seasoned, the pasta was creamy fettuccine and The flavour just melts on your tongue. We ended up spending 2 hours there but it was a breakfast date. His burger was also great. And the prices compared to the taste, quality and amount is very worth it, mug and bean asks R180 for 1 piece bacon, 1 egg, 1 sausage, 1 tiny 0.5 cm thick steak, a toast, a spoon of mushrooms, quater tomato and 1 hasbrown. Sounds like a lot yet none of it is filling, whereas i spend R190 for a full plate pasta with a 100g grilled steak. Surprise surprise ive been here before with my father and ordered the steak and pasta then aswel and seems like their pastas dont fail me. New favorite restaurant, damn...
