Upon arriving at the door, several staff members intimidatingly made a lot of eye contact with us while partly surrounding us and exclaiming "Welcome home!" excitedly, one after the other. I suspect that neurotypical customers find this to be delightful or something but it made me and my partner quite anxious, as it felt like a major social cue with no correct response from our side. Definitely something we'll remember for next time, as we weren't ready for that. Aside from the terrifying greeting, the restaurant experience was relatively mundane - everything being exactly as expected. No better, no worse. However, our waitron, Khodani was friendly and visited the table at the perfect intervals for us to feel like she cares without her interrupting the flow of conversation or anything like that. I also appreciate that she could read the room and she did not make small talk or try to upsell, but rather got us exactly what we ordered, which is great. The food was somehow slightly less impressive than last time but still good. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we plan to return. We don't expect restaurant staff to account for the neurodivergence of customers of course, so the "low" atmosphere rating might be unfair in that way. I was so disappointed with breakfast this morning, Sunday 7 November. We can't even complain about the service because there was none. My husband eventually had to call someone to take our order, after being seated for about 15 minutes. Then we waited for over 20 minutes before my husband, again, got up to find someone. Our order was lying on the counter. When we eventually got our food, mine was cold and the egg was hard when I asked for soft. The pork vienna's were rock hard and unable to consume. Unfortunately I didn't snap pictures. I was only here once and I wouldn't go back after my experience. I ordered steak (which obviously you shouldn't at Wimpy) and it came out RAW like, my breath stank like rotting carcass after spitting it out. After telling the waitress, she merely asked "but didn't you say medium rare, haibo". There is a difference between medium rare and stinking raw!
