Fishaways Ormonde — Restaurant in Gauteng

Placed an order at 6pm via telephone, was told that food will be delivered in 40 mins. 50 mins later, called the store & first they unable to hear me, then they can't find my order - the call centre never logged it. Took a drive to the store only to be told that the food is long gone with the driver and thats why they could not locate it.

I asked the store for the managers number, sadly I received a number that doesn't exist!

So I head back home, the driver is at my gate and so I ask the driver (Masoud) why is he so late with the food and he blames the store stating that he got it late.

I told the driver i will not pay the R15 delivery fee as I still had to go to the store, he tells me it's fine he will give it to me as Lillaah because clearly I need it. The arrogance of this driver, no courtesy or accountability!

I opted not to take the food and had a cup of tea instead - an hour 30 mins later!

Both the store personnel and the driver must be addressed and disciplined for this...

Service was abismal. We waited over 30 minutes I went to enquire. The Teller was concerned but the servers in the kitchen were not bothered. The Teller was quite polite but got indifferent response from the servers. She even went to check but came back and shrugged her shoulders. When we opened the food at home we were shocked at the quantities. We are used to buy the same meal at the Parktown Fishaways and the quantity is satisfactory. We ordered 2x Fish, rice, chips and Coleslaw. Small portions of rice and chips were thrown in the box. Just about 2 spoons of rice and a few chips. Our order took 50 minutes to be made and the food was cold when we ate it.

When enquiring on the portion sizes of the hot pot,we were told that the hot pot for 2 is enough to serve 1 person- this does not make sense.

The extra portion of calamari that we ordered was over fried,shrunk, and rubbery.

When we got home we realised that our fishwich burger was not in the bag. Although the staff were considerate to deliver the burger to us, we then received it after an hour.
