EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the service I received 🫤. I ordered a cake for my sisters birthday with SPECIFIC instructions on what I wanted. I went out of my way to even compile a document with every minute detail so that it would be easy for the bakery to refer to. On the document I specified the writing, the flavour of the cake and the colour I wanted. I even included a reference photo of what I wanted the cake to look like and I got something completely different 😮‍💨. What baffles me was that the writing on the cake is exactly as what I wanted but the design? Nothing like that. Which indicates to me that they deliberately ignored my desired outcome. I wanted a cake that is minimalistic, something that is very much 2025. I got a cake from 1970. Unnecessary details were added - flowers and chocolate, I didn’t ask for that. Came here at 8:05am as my wife suggested getting a coffee and something to eat. I was not greeted or treated very nicely by the lady who helped me, she made me feel like I was bothering her to early in the morning. There were sandwiches on display and As i dont eat onions i asked which do and dont, The chef gentleman came out and showed me a chicken mayo which does not have onions. I requested if they could make me a beef sandwich without the onions and they said quite plainly NO, what is there is there. So I just had 2 cheese croissants and a coffee. Not the best feeling to go through so early in the morning but I think people skills and being approachable may have a better outcome for the store. The store itself looks very neat and has the coffee shop vibe. Not sure if I would come...

I can't say much about the restaurant, but the bakery's bread is good. They make white and brown bread(normal government loaves) and a lot of special breads like ciabatta, plaited sweet loaves, etc.

This is the only place where I have found bread which actually tastes good(like bread should taste) and doesn't collapse or have a gummy taste. It is also freshly made each day.

This is also the only shop in Pretoria which makes good pies (eg. steak & kidney pies have pieces of real meat in and not some disgusting gelatinous flavoured soya blocks).

I was lucky to find this shop as I was looking for bread and the other places were closed or sold out. Tried here and found some, now I only go here for bread.

Prices for bread and pies are what you pay anywhere else, but special...
