I didn’t want to post this negative review, but after emails have gone unanswered, I feel like this is the only way to get their attention.
I had ordered Uber Eats from Grubhouse many times before, and I’ve been very happy with the food I’ve received.
On my recommendation, 3 friends and I went to the Kolonnade branch for the first time in person last night. The service, albeit a bit slow, was fine as it was busy, and the food was delicious as always, but we had a major issue once we received the bill.
We had all paid, and together the tip was 10% of the total (approximately R75). For us, it was appropriate giving the level and speed of the service.
Then he got aggressive, saying that he won’t leave until he has gotten at least 15%, and he berated us for not tipping enough. He made the female who was with us very uncomfortable, and eventually we gave some more in cash just to get him away.

We had the privilege of celebrating the Perfects of 2026 (Die Hoërskool Wonderboom) at Grubhouse Kolonnade, and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue was beautifully prepared, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere made the evening feel truly special.
A special word of thanks to James, Itumeleng and the staff – every single person was warm, attentive, and professional. The fooD is KILLLLLLERRR GUYS! grub house kollonade's staff is such amazing peeps too.
The play area needs a bit more attention as most devices are 'OUT OF ORDER' always. And the play area has so much potential.
