I think "crazy" is the best word to describe this place in the good meaning of the word ;). In my opinion Jolly Cool is one of the most famous and popular bars located in Parkhurst. It's always full of people, especially on weekends. But the service is great and very quick. They offer some awesome pizzas (some of them are named after the most frequent visitors of the bar, what is a really great idea) and other dishes like traditional South African boerewors served in a bun. Relaxed and very casual vibe. Could be cleaner and I feel as though the dim lighting is to disguise the shoddy decor. However as dive bars go, it's a pleasant experience and not too rowdy but attracts a young, trendy crowd and is a fun place to go for a few drinks and a game of pool or two. I'd recommend going with a few friends. It's not the type of place I'd go on a date night with my husband but probably would have been when we first met at 23. Even at 30 I feel like the crowd is a bit young for my friends and I but it's a great affordable place for students to have a few drinks in a casual setting and is conveniently located in the main street...

This was the worst experience. Never have I ever experienced such poor service. I booked a table and ordered my food A WEEK BEFORE the FA Cup final started and it only came at half time! Upon leaving, we noticed the waiters setting up another table (food and all). This was by far the most disappointing thing ever. There was a lack of respect for the customer in this situation - before the game started, I was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive, the waiter called the manager and he told me I must order something or else they're giving my table away.
