This is such a cute spot in Braamfontein. The space is very well designed. It's understated, uncluttered and uncomplicated. It makes room for the art that is often exhibited on the walls to stand out and be the focal point. My favourite part... The Untitled Basement. A hidden gem of a music venue at the basement of the restaurant. The ambience is just beautiful and the design and interior is exquisite. The set up allows one a 360 view of the performance and an intimate and close view of the musicians and their bands. It reminds me of those speakeasy music clubs in movies where the famous jazz musicians used to go and play. The food at both the Artivist restaurant and the Basement is worth the visit. The menu is limited, but the options are really tasty. To say I love this place is an understatement.

Great experience in the heart of Braamfontein, definitely worth visiting if you want a creative space for lunch, drinks and dinner or to have a coffee with your laptop. Staff were friendly and food tasty. Great mix on the menu including vegan and vegetarian options. Would recommend you pay a visit.

A monthly event hosted by Beats By Her - a very fun and safe space for women and queer groups and their allies. The food was awesome - I enjoyed a vegetarian plate and a friend some chicken wings - absolutely worthwhile. Drinks are quite pricey.

I’m disowning all my friends. This place has been around for nearly 9 months and no one bothered to tell me. I decided to take myself out for lunch and it was the best decision I made that week.

I had the salmon trout and it was just amazing. The side greens stole the show for me. If I didn’t already have a whole fish to get through then I would definitely have ordered a whole bowl of those. If there was ever an Oscars of food then those greens would get a Grammy for ‘Best Supporting Act’ (or something like that) .

I honestly can’t fault them on anything. The food was fitting for a god , the ambience and music just 👌🏾and the service top-notch.

I’m definitely coming back. A job well done to...

Cool space, nice lighting, great art and your chef does smoked lentils well. But damn guys, it's 9:12pm and I arrived 2 hours ago. I'm thirsty and hungry. It took 30 min to get my 1st drink, It's taking longer to get the second. The jazz is starting now, I bought my 150 bucks ticket and our food is not out yet? Our waitress is run off her feet, and trying her best.

The food arrives, its mostly burnt and you forgot the falafel. My plate is back in your kitchen. I'm still hungry. My second drink still ain't here. We're missing the jazz.

I feel sorry for the waitresses - they are sweating and working hard. You need more hands, they...
