Lucky Bread Company- Brooklyn Mall — Restaurant in Gauteng

We usually get good service from Lucky Bread, but today the service was terrible. We were seated and received menus and then it was as if we disappeared from their view. We waited more than 10 minutes for someone just to come take our drink order, almost 20 minutes to get our drinks and place our food order. We waited almost 25 minutes to get our food, and that was after we had to ask another waiter to find out what was going on. No one asked if we wanted anything else, if we were happy with our food. People that came to sit down after we were already sitting got their drinks and food before we did. The manager avoided us like the plague and checked in with everyone else around us. My husband wanted to get up and leave. When they were clearing the table, the waiter leaned over me instead of walking around to fetch the wooden serving board and bumped our cup, spilling our drink. We've been going to Lucky Bread for almost three years at least once a month. I don't think I will be going...

I'm there so often, the staff know me well - "Milk tart waffle with trimmings on the side" :-)

Great coffee and super-friendly and attentive staff make this my go-to place! They are always adding new items to the menu so you never tire of their offerings. I particularly enjoy their sourdough bread, custard cruffin, milk tart waffle (even the new tiramisu one is excellent), green smoothie, Alicia's warm apple tea (perfect on cold days), spicy chicken melt, the new butter chicken one is delectable, the aubergine sandwich is surprisingly good and a great vegetarian option, lamb and chicken pies, fig cake (this is the bomb!), peanut butter and choc cake, the flourless coconut cake is amazing. For a summer drink, their pops are fantastic - there's a cola and berry one, I forget the name...but those drinks make you feel like you're on holiday and forget your troubles! :-)

There's a lot to try...you'll definitely go back to try...

Very very dissapointed in the terrible service...or shall I say no service.

Email various times to make an order - ignored Followed up on emails - ignored Landlines don't even ring Facebook messenger enquiry - ignored Called the cell nr given on messenger - ignored Opted to send a whatsapp - message is read but ignored. No aknowledgement or reply.

You mame it impossible to order.

Sad that in harsh economic & covid challenging times that you still have to beg a company...
