**Experience #2 - 27/07/23 Had dinner at Lupa Design Quarter last night for the second time. The service was fantastic from our waiter and a great ambiance on the inside part of the restaurant. The coffee, tops as always.

However, that is where the positive experience ends. Arriving at the restaurant, I ordered a glass of Beyerskloof Pinotage, sadly no Beyerskloof Pinotage in stock and no alternative Pinotage on offer. Had to settle for a Merlot. (While Checkers is right there to fill up if you ran out)

We ordered the Massimo Calzone and Pork & Beef Meatballs pasta. The pasta - delicious! The Calzone on the other hand - disappointing. The only great thing about it was the final presentation when it arrived at the table in record time. However the Calzone must have gone straight from the fridge/freezer into the oven to get a golden colour bake, brushed with normal melted butter(no taste of garlic in sight) and sent to the table. The Calzone did not even bake/heat through properly. The filling in the middle was cold, bland (thanks to the no heat aspect) and the mozzarella cheese, not even melted. Mentioned it to the waiter, but did not make a big deal about it.

For dessert we decided to get two portions of Dark Chocolate Mousse thingy, guess what, no item in stock. Since nothing else on the dessert menu grabbed our attention we ordered the Cremino to share. Great flavours, however way too sweet.

Will I return to Lupa Design Quarter? Maybe not, I'll rather go to the one at Kwena Square where I have not experienced any problems.

**Experience #3 - 30/07/23 Just WOW! My 3rd time and my family's 1st time at Lupa Design Quarter.

The service from William our waiter was exceptional, a gem for this restaurant. It is rare to get service like we experienced today in SA. The atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant was nice and full.

The management team was present and checked up on us several times, shows they are on top of their game and even informed us about the restaurant's once a month music night. During our experience so far, we made a booking right there and then for the music night.

We even got spoiled by making use of the restaurant's standing wine decanters. Just added that wow factor to our dining experience.

The Food was beyond amazing. A much, much better food experience then on Thursday night, the 27th.

Thank you team Lupa Design Quarter, we will...

Where fantastic ambience and delicious food meet to create a spectacular experience! I was looking for restaurants in the Fourways area and came across Lupa Osteria Design Quarter. I booked earlier this week for my cousin’s 18th birthday. Apparently, the Fourways community are quite impressed with their pizzas. I asked them whether it would be fine if I brought a few balloons and they had no problem. The person on the phone was so professional and it was not even two minutes after my booking that I received an SMS to confirm. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly waitress. I started putting the balloons up and unfortunately the ‘1’ in ‘18’ got loose from its string and was stuck on their ceiling. They had a whole team to assist to try and get it down for me - it looked like a rescue team in action! The owner was beyond amazing and assured me that they would get the balloon down. I told her that they should not worry, however, they really wanted it to be the perfect birthday experience for my cousin. They got the balloon down with sticky tape which they attached to a pole and I could see that they were so happy and felt so proud - they felt like family! The owner’s attention to detail and focus on customer experience was exceptional. I spoke to her and she really felt like an aunty to me - we spoke about the importance of marketing and attention to detail - this restaurant is her absolute passion! The way she spoke to me about it was inspirational - she is extremely dedicated and goes to the restaurant 7 days a week. Now, the food, we had the Fillet with Pepper Sauce and Risotto - boy, oh boy, I give it an exceptional 5 stars! The dish was infused with cream and the steak was só tender! Presentation of food was top notch. To add to all of this, one could see that love went into the making of the food - from preparation to presentation! My other family members ordered prawns and comments around the table were made that this was the best prawn that they had ever had at any restaurant! Our food also arrived quickly. If you are looking for a restaurant that make you feel as if you are part of their family, please support this branch! Their attention to detail, stylish decor, friendly and professional service and of course, amazing food is admirable! A huge thanks to their whole team for exceptional service! You deserve the best as you give your best! #Lupo #wow...

Had the pleasure of being served by Janet and Lorraine. Lorraine you were right about the delicious red velvet very yummy and moist! Great service, great food, great atmosphere and the food has a quick turnaround time. I particularly love that they use fresh and real garlic for the condiments you get with your pizza or pasta it’s so flavourful and smells divine a small brilliant detail that really adds to the quality of the meal(so many places do not use it). I also appreciate that if you are dinning out and ask for them to please include the garlic, chillies and parmesan to go they put them in well sized containers and do not charge additionally for that similarly to when you dine in and it’s included in the food cost. They have dog friendly dinning outside, while I think this cool and progressive and I love dogs I think maybe it’s should be mentioned on the website that they do allow dogs outside cause not everyone feels safe around dogs and is scared of them so you feel very nervous having to enter the restaurant and walk right past this dog you don’t know. Or maybe only sit tables with dogs not near the entrance so you don’t have patrons who are nervous about dogs having to walk past them. The food is delicious and also great value for money! They also have fun weekday lunch special that includes certain meals at a set price (check website for pricing...

As a starter, we had the crispy artichokes served with fresh rocket & mint. Topped with Parmesan shavings & a balsamic dressing. My whole life suddenly became a lie. How can a vegetable taste this AMAZING! I never thought I'd ever crave a vegetarian dish till I tasted it. The way the crumb was done made it crispy, almost tasted like a margherita pizza. The artichoke was soft and delicate. I would highly recommend this. My wife had the Gardienera. Fresh pasta & grated zucchini in a creamy garlic & chili sauce. It is topped with crispy fried spinach balls. I didn't taste it, so I won't comment on it. I added it because of the picture for those wondering what it was. I had the Massimo calzone. It's a folded wood-fired pizza filled with mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, crumbled feta & red wine caramelised onions, topped with sliced avo & grated Italian Parmesan. This was cooked to perfection. It was very flavourful and packed with stuffing. My only criticism is that there were way too many caramelized onions in there, throwing the balance off. A majority of my bites were very sweet, which to me is odd on a calzone. Overall, I was very impressed with their food. I highly recommend going there for some amazing Italian food.

Friends ordered the sea food pizza, they loved it. I had the trip pasta Vegetarian option, which was ravioli options of (1) cheese, (2) spinach and cheese and (3) pumpkin stuffed pasta with white sauce. I loved the taste, however needed to add chilli to add some additional flavor. I would however recommend the dish get served in a large bowl, and a spoon come with it. i struggled to collect the sauce on such a flat.olate and the ravioli of 3 spinach with a fee of the others on a flat plat makes the restaurant seem stingy?! Drink: The Shaken Margarita was tasty... it wasn't filled to the brim, but the salt on the glass was well done. Dessert: I ordered the Nutella and orange syrup crepe, which was tasty. I found the service very slacky. Our waiter dint listen to well to the 2nd round of drinks. I asked for the bill with water, lemon, no ice and I got everything, and the second time i got water with no lemon, and no bill and had to ask again. Vibe: The vibe for a sunday afternoon is great though, as there is a live musician at 1pm. Great outside sun experience. Will go there again.
