Mizuki Sushi & Asian Tapas — Restaurant in Gauteng

I bought a Hyperli Japanese experience voucher. The purpose of this review is not do discredit or harm the restaurant but to give it a honest review so that people like me don't waste there money. To tell the truth I do agree that I am used to a better class of restaurants but I am sure that my opinion will be of value to someone.

The restaurant is in a dodgy street. If I walked or drove past I would have never entered the place. When we entered we were given the option to sit inside or outside, we choose inside which was a cubicle inside the restaurant. The table was sticky and it is very clear that they don't clean with degreasers but only wipe the surfaces off.

The food was the worst I have ever experienced in my life, all dishes was blunt and tasteless,the last and main dish was a curry chicken with steamed rice, we received a piece of chicken snhitzel topped with tinned KOO curry vegetables. It was the most non appealing unpresentable plate of food I have ever seen in a restaurant.

To get to the toilet you have to walk through the Kitchen. The Kitchen was not to messy but dirty, meaning the appliance surface and utensils need to be deep cleaned and is disgusting.

Mizuki Sushi is a small intimate gem of a restaurant and definitely worth a visit! Their staff are friendly and welcoming and the sushi is incredible. The only reason for a 4-star rating and not 5-star is that they did not advise when I booked that they don't have a liquor licence - but you can however order from their next door neighbors - unfortunately also very expensive wine selection. Disappointing Service Experience Unfortunately, our recent visit to this restaurant was marred by poor service. Despite the establishment being relatively quiet, it took approximately 20 minutes for our server to attend to us and present the drinks menu. Furthermore, we had to request that our order be taken, which added an additional 10-minute delay.
