Netcafe Sunninghill — Restaurant in Gauteng

Had the weirdest experience here. Just wanted a takeaway coffee to take back and wait for my radiology reports (we are perfectly healthy - here only for a visa requirement, so don’t look frail or sick in the least).

Entered the cafe and one of the wait staff insisted that we sit down. I wanted to take a look at what was available fresh at the counters and he still tried to steer me to a table to sit down.

I checked that the coffee was being freshly brewed (I’m fussy about my coffee) and sat down and was given a menu.

Ordered our coffee and asked him to give it to us in takeaway cups, because we wanted to wait at the department for our reports and leave as soon as we got them. He looked at us extremely rudely and said “go stand in the line at the counter!” That was exactly what we were doing in the first place 😤 he forced us to sit down and then subjected us to his rude attitude 🙄🙄🙄

The coffee was very good though and that’s why the 2 stars, would have rated it much higher if not for...

Been here a few times and I'd rather get a quick drive through meal before hand if you are pressed for time. The service is terrible, seated patrons received their orders 10 minutes, identical meal as mine, before me. A simple toast will take 25min with a 25% patron capacity. When speaking to the waiters to get an update, they say your order is being prepared without even knowing what you ordered. Your Cappucino will be handed to you 15 min before your meal and it gets cold. There appears to be a supervisor Gent who is extremely loud and cannot keep his voice level down for a hospital environment. The muffins are not fresh and appears days old. I regularly need bloid tests done and drive right past Waterfall hospital and go to sunninghill in order to have a breakfast at their netcafe. Will NEVER eat there again as I ordered a toasted bacon avo and feta sandwich. The meal took more than half an hour to prepare and I had to ask if there was a problem causing the long wait...the restaurant was empty ..we were 1 of 2 tables that were occupied so they were not busy. The avo was old and brown , the feta was off and tasted sour and the bacon not cooked properly. I then ordered a glass of fresh orange juice and it arrived in a hot glass the juice was frothy and warm. Worst food and drink I...
