Ons Stoep — Restaurant in Gauteng

I came across this place on social media so I decided to give them a try for breakfast. There is a free parking lot available so parking is easily accessible. Upon arrival, we were not met by any staff members so we opted to go to the counter, there was nobody behind there either. After a few minutes, a lady stuck her head round from the back and disappeared then a few minutes later a gentleman appeared. We were told to sit wherever we wanted to so we did so. We were given the menu then after about 10 minutes, a young lad came to take our order. We were given our drinks after about 10 minutes and then we waited, waited and waited for over 45 minutes for the burger then a further 15 minutes for the breakfast by which time, my partner had already eaten their meal. The breakfast was such a miss, the eggs were not cooked as I requested, the sausages had a sour taste and the bacon was dry. I did not enjoy my meal at all!! I left there still hungry as it was already well after lunchtime being after 12pm. The place was not overly busy, but the service was extremely slow. 'n Lekker kuier plekkie! The cappucino was great, strong cup of coffee. Fish and chips very tasty, I enjoyed the freshly made coleslaw, delectable. A beautiful, quaint little restaurant in the ❤️ of Edenvale. You can literally sit on the stoep of this restaurant and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal.
