My daughter and I were back at Panarrotis Cresta on Saturday. I can honestly say the pizza I had (Vegan Mexicana, with added tikka sauce) was the best pizza I have ever had. With the conversation I had with Valentine, I felt heard and acknowledged. He truly wanted to make up for my previous experience, with sincerity.
It is with a heavy heart I post this review. As gracious and helpful as our waitress Karen was, the food my daughter and I had, left much to be desired. We order the Al Capone, vegetarian version. Our pizza had the smell of raw beef. Both of us are vegetarian, further more have never eaten beef, but we know the smell of beef. We handed pieces to the meat eaters in our birthday party family and they confirmed same. The pieces were indeed plant based, but the flavour was meat. Although the management apologised, it was more for the fact that we did not eat our pizza rather than a valid explanation as to why it smelt and had the flavour of beef. Furthermore, we were still charged for the pizza we never ate!
Further to the above, Valentine, from the branch has made contact and, after tasting the product, it is being taken off the menu and the supplier is looking into the flavouring. Also, my daughter and I have been invited to come in for a free pizza, as a gesture of kindness.

The wine bush had a mouse roaming around it and it really made me uncomfortable to think of the incident of it one day making it to theur kitchen space. Was really disappointed with our waitress that had served us after we had paid the bill, she did not give us packaging for the left over containers we had and she never attended to us again after the bill was paid- we wanted to continue ordering and it took us a while to be attended by another waitress. She had such a great personality but made it awkward for us when we paid the bill without a tip, she highlighted it for me loudly that she is not the waitress that had served to us before and that the 10% is a must for tip when it was not written on the bill- made it really awkward as I was also with my friends and one of them ended up actually giving her a tip. I just wanted to know that after giving a tip enough for the next order for the drink we had, is it a must to tip again for the drink again to the next waitres? Should it had been that I had a business meeting, I would have gotten a bad review myself after this incident. So...

The Salami was thicker than usual and not crispy on the edges. even the tomato base tasted slightly different. Very disappointed my wife an I never finished our meal and asked the waiter what changed, what happen to the pizza we always enjoyed, why does it taste strange. She then said she was sorry for the experience an said she will ask the manager what changed and maybe get us something complementary. The manager then explained to us because of the looting the ingredients supplier was temporarily changed and we were correct, the toppings are not the same. Manager didnt offer any compensation. The waiters didnt even know this. If I knew this before hand I wouldn't of went here to eat knowing the ingredients were changed as you expect the same quality at all the franchises. you pay R140.00 for a pizza these days , it's a luxury an you then dont get what you expect nor do you get compensated for lesser quality taste at the same price....
