Panarottis Oakdene — Restaurant in Gauteng

I was there this past weekend with my family...10 of us to be exact, there to celebrate my son's 6th birthday but things didn't go as we had hoped...We got there and struggled with getting a table that could fit all of us as the tables were too small, there was literally no space on both sides, moved to another table and encountered the same, we couldn't even fit the baby chairs on it so we had to bear the uncomfortability of eating while carrying toddlers...we settled for that. Then after some time there were two waiters standing by the door busy staring and talking about our table to a point where we heard them. I called one of them and asked if there was a time limit for us to be there because their conversation was about how we've been there for a long time and we are not leaving....we hadn't even received the bill as we were still waiting for dessert that we had ordered and had been waiting a while for but they still made it a point to make us feel uncomfortable...by the time the dessert arrived I just asked for the bill and asked the waitress oLerato to make it a takeaway because PALESA who was one of the 2 that were talking about us made us feel like we weren't welcome there until we left.

Really disappointed with how everything went, just had to endure it for my son's sake because we were already there, otherwise we would have left...

I literally walked in, stood at the entrance for about a minute, no one notices me, so I'm like ok I'll sit at the door so that they can note... Darn idiots still don't notice meeee 😠 (At this point Sphiwe is playing ama kiddies games)

Hawu... A family of 4 come in sit right opposite where I'm sitting and wow wow wow wow... A waiter notices them and they are served ☕🍸🍹🍺

A few moments later...

A group of 9 teens walk in, no one notices them @ the door and pull the exact same stunt I pulled - took a seat and started chatting their arses away. (So I'm thinking, they're in the same predicament such as i right? 🤔)

Wrong ❌❌❌❌❌❌

A waiter literally goes 🚶🏽🚶🏽🚶🏽to their table [which is diagonally opposite to my table] and they get served 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍻🍺

Now at this point I'm on an emotional roller coaster 🤨😒😞😔😟😕🙁☹😣😖😫🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡🤬😠🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭

This is like an hour and so many minutes friend 😳😳😳🤬🤬🤬🤬

So I'm like... Huuusaaaaa...😌😌😌😌

Not gonna make a scene and be pathetic Ima go collect Sphiwe, walk out and go to Rocco Mama's... So I'm currently sitting here @ Rocco 😇😇😇😇

I'm even eating to my satisfaction... Panarottis = Pathetic × Mediocre...

Absolutely horrid service!!! Our waiter was Themba, who completely disregarded us. He continued serving all 3 other tables in his area and didn't bother checking on us or even giving us an update on our food. We waited 30 mins for our food. We had to call other waiters to ask them to check on our food as our waiter was disinterested. Even when he brought our food, he was about to make a dash for it until we reminded him that we also ordered drinks. After we got our drinks, we requested for serviettes. We never heard from him after this, yet again. During this time, he got a bunch of serviettes and gave it to the table behind us & just ignored us. Once again, we had to call the lady at the till to ask for serviettes. We had to ask another waiter for boxes to pack our food. Even after asking him for our bill, we waited once again wondering if he'd come back. It was dismal. Although the pizza we ordered was nice, I'll never eat again at this branch. You need to retrain most of your staff as even the ones we requested help from seemed...
