Glen Mall is based in the southern subarbs of Johannesburg in the area of Oakdene.

It is just off The Comaro Street Off Ramp or The Rifle Range Off Ramp,

It is beautifully Situated in the Heart of Oakdene, its a medium sized mall with parking facility and has all the franchise outlets South Africa has to offer.

The mall has a sweet perfumy smell mixed with the smell of Cotton Candy and has a nice and Vivid Vibe to It.

The mall is a nice place to go Shopping, Prices are reasonably cheaper then other malls,

They have many FRANCHISE Restaurants the likes of Ocean Basket, Panarotti, Spur, KFC, Milkylane, Mugg and Bean, Nando's, Mimmos. Nando's and Milkylane Being Halaal.

A Kids gaming area is also available with many with different games and Just above that level is the Cinema with 10 movies at the same time.

They have handicapped and disabled parking facility and access through the Roof Level.

The Banks are all located at Roof Level Banking.

Over the past couple of years criminality in and around the mall has been on the increase.

Please make sure you park in close view of cctv cameras.

They pick your car locks sometimes for the content inside your vehicle but mostly they just steal the vehicle.

Security staff in south africa can't be trusted as they are also involved crime.

Be extremely careful when catching a Taxi as the driver could possibly be involved in crime.

Do not display large amounts of cash as this could easily trigger crime.

Also be careful inside the mall,there are handbag,cellphone and pick pocket/trolley thieves acting as shoppers. They rob you while you are distracted and doing your shopping,bump into you and sometimes operate in groups of two or three.

Criminals also target foreign registered vehicles. They may also follow you as you drive out of the mall, so please...

NOT HAPPY WITH THE SECURITY GUARD HERE!!

My boyfriend and I were on a double date with our friends and we were taking photos in front of a shop. When it was just me and my female friend, the security guard said nothing. When my boyfriend and his male friend took photos in front of the shop he rushed up to us and started telling them off. Instead of giving us equal treatment he only picked on my boyfriend and his friend. My boyfriend was calm but the security guard got very worked up and started pushing him. I'm glad we were all in a good mood because otherwise that man would be unemployed right now... SO UNPROFESSIONAL.

Other than that, I bumped my review up from 3 stars to 4 stars.

This mall was going downhill at a racing speed and the shops were closing down.

But after much renovating and inovation the mall is completely transformed!

Very clean and very nice design when it comes to the layout and architecture. So many more amazing stores to visit inside after the renovation, and walkways are lovely and wide.
