Roman's Pizza Ormonde — Restaurant in Gauteng

I'm disappointed to say that my latest visit to Romans Pizza Ommorde didn't live up to my previous experiences. I've enjoyed their mushroom Margherita veg pizza before, which is why I ordered it again, simply because I didn't feel like having meat in my pizza.

What really took the shine off, though, was the attitude of the cashiers. When I ordered, one of them said, "Me, I only eat meat," and another chimed in, "It's not even nice." I felt judged and uncomfortable, like I needed to justify my food choice. At one point, I even considered changing my order just to avoid the awkwardness. Newsflash: customers shouldn't feel like they're doing something wrong for choosing what they want to eat. To make matters worse, the pizza was overly oily and lacked salt, which was a letdown.

If you're looking for a place that serves good pizza without judgment, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Maybe focus on training your staff to be more welcoming and less... opinionated?

I ordered via Uber Eats and I was so unimpressed. The garlic, they just throw a whole blob on all the pepperoni, I can't understand who even eats like that, why not spread it out a bit? But the worst for me was on the Fetaroni pizza which has "fresh green chillies" as per the menu. The chillies were not fresh, they were off, nobody likes the smell of rotten veg on their pizza and that's what I got. Worst experience at Romans ever! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ordering...
