Ordered from Mr D and have never had more horrible "curry". The chicken korma arrived in a pale white sauce completely lacking in spices, salt or any flavour. The chicken pieces are undercooked and pink inside. This is not a curry, it is entirely inedible and resembles a slop dished up to prisoners, not the R144 I paid for this disappointing meal. I've had more flavorful food served in hospital. I will not eat this, I requested a refund and it's going to the trash as the pink chicken will make one sick also. I'd honestly be ashamed that you gave this to a customer, whoever your chef is you have no business being in a kitchen and cooking Indian food. Cooking is...

Placed order via call, told it would be ready in 10min. Only to get there to find that order wasn't ready. The best part was that they gave my order to another customer who then has room bring it back. Which means or we had to wait some more.

The chicken Shahar was nice but it was not mild just bland. The mutton spinach was also bland and I found staple metals in so that our me off.

The place wasn't packed at all to warrant confusion with orders.

I've ordered here before and my mild orders were exactly what i ordered and the food was great, mild had it mild kick. This time around was really...

We used to get takeaway curry from Shamiyana at least once a month and it's really been our go to curry place for 10+ years. Lately I cannot be more disappointed in the bland curry that we've been served, even the butter chicken has been tough, we were served a chicken samoosa that smelled rotten and vile, and phoned them right away to let them know! And the price of our favourite dish has jumped up by almost R30. I get that costs have gone up, but this is even more reason to still offer the great quality we've become used to. Not sure we...

I can only talk for the Samoosas; unfortunately they are not what you'd expect in shape and also not in flavour. The pastry is quite thick and very crunchy. We had the chicken flavour samoosa, also perhaps just today; but they were not fresh at all. The green "relish" is also quite hot, basically it is green crushed chillies. Also quite pricey for 4 x samoosas at R40, at the time.

The best place for Indian food! Don’t let the appearance of the shop turn you away. The quality has always been consistent and the portions and prices are definitely worth it. The food is always fresh and super tasty! I will always be a loyal customer to this store, and definitely understand how they’ve been around for years. Awesome food.
