The service was very disappointing. We waited almost an hour for avo toast and a spinach quiche. The delay was apparently due to the quiche being baked in the oven .... but it was cold when it arrived ? Our drinks also took extremely long to arrive ... almost 30 mins. Donāt think weāll be going back.
As per the response below, the Owner has chosen to accuse me of being dishonest. There must be something wrong with the slip system you refer to. We repeatedly enquired with your staff as to where the meal was, and they kept apologizing. The cold quiche was eventually deducted from my bill - after I had posted this review still seated at the table. The manager on duty was most apologetic. I was just extremely unhappy that I had been lied to about the quiche baking in the oven that was clearly cold when I received it. We received our meal almost an hour after we arrived. It sounds to me like the short gap in your āslipsā was perhaps because someone actually forgot to place my order until 10 minutes before I received it ??? It is the first restaurant review I have ever written on Google, I donāt think I would have made that effort for a 10 minute serving time which is quite normal š¤. I was going to come back and comment that at least my meal was deducted, but as you have chosen to be dishonest about the entire incident, I am extremely disappointed in your response. I usually give 2nd and 3rd chances for bad service, but due to you trying to brush me off with a short dishonest response, I will never set foot in your coffee shop again. Edenvale has many other beautiful coffee shops like La Tazzina around the Corner, Cafe Bilibi at Stone Ridge and Cafe Plus at Green Valley - all with delicious food and far more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here before about two years ago with a friend and enjoyed it... but today decided to come for a solitary breakfast. Loved the early morning ambiance. Walked in and was immediately acknowledged by the staff who all were smiling. I was invited to sit anywhere I wanted, I selected the terrace and in today's nice weather it was good (in fact it was WoW!!) . Food: I had chicken livers and toast with cuppachino ... the coffee came in a NICE size for a coffee lover like what I am. Two slices of sourdough (you have a choice of several types of bread including rye) and two sachets of butter(I love butter) and the livers were piping hot... the server Phumi (Mpumi on the system) was attentive to the right degree... not overbearingly but just right and I appreciated that. Cost (in my opinion) was slightly on the high side as I mean the ingredients (essentially an egg, chicken livers, peppers and spices etc.) should not cost one more than R25 to buy raw... so the R115 for those ingredients transformed into a very nice cooked meal was a little bit too much by about R20 (in my opinion) but I guess it's in line with the level of patronage that frequent the place.... many of them being runners with their early morning running attire. Runners with dogs are accommodated in the outside seating area which is convenient indeed. Bill: with the two cuppachino coffees and a frozen berry drink brought the bill to R250. Which I thought that was about R60 too much. But overall the food is nice and the service good and fast... the was...

I initially ordered a coffee Freezo, but was told that they canāt add an extra shot of espresso as it is a powder? She then told me that it is a Frappuccino that i want so proceeded to go with that. While the menu indicated that I could choose a syrup, I was not asked for my preference, resulting in a bitter crushed ice espresso drink. Additionally, my friend ordered the Landing Omelette, which unfortunately arrived without cheese. An omelette without cheese is rather surprising, given the expectations for such a dish. I ordered the breakfast pizza which was very tasty. I also ordered homemade lemonade, but received orangeade instead. When I pointed out the mistake, the waitress insisted it was correct, claiming they were out of oranges but when we left we saw a basket full of oranges that they were making use of. The drink was clearly orange, and the distinction was evident when the correct drink was eventually brought to the table. Finally, we left around 1:30 PM and forgot to take my leftover pizza. I attempted to call the restaurant to retrieve them, but received no answer. We returned at 2:00 PM, just before closing, only to be informed that our leftovers were no longer available. The staff claimed they had rushed to our car to deliver them, but we had been parked for some time before departing, making this hard to believe. Overall, my experience was disappointing due to multiple errors in service and food...
