Wimpy — Restaurant in Gauteng

Firstly wimpy has been a staple in my family for decades and this experience this past afternoon not only left a bad taste in my mouth but could have made me extremely ill, myself and my partner arrived to a hot and stuffy restaurant, I orded the chicken breast's and veggies while she had a burger and chips, when the chicken arrived it looked pleasing to the eye however when I took my first bite it was evident that the chicken was not only under done but rotten to the core that the cutlery was even smelling, we then called the waitress who then came and grabbed the plate and walked off without saying a word, not even a apology, then came a slightly older lady who claimed to the manager, who rudely approached and spoke us like we are her kids instead of apologizing and remeding the situation, she then insisted on us ordering another at our expense to my shock, only after I stood up to her and told her she could have killed me serving rotten chicken did she apologize, my partner then raised a concern about her fries not being fresh also fell on Def ears because nothing was done, I'm extremely disappointed in how wimpy treated us and would not recommend it to my friends and...

Some of the real Wimpy is still there, in this sad looking Wimpy. You can still get a lovely milkshake and the iconic Wimpy coffee here. We would still like to have all that and maybe a breakfast too sometime again, but BUT ... Where are we to sit? The seating here in the Wimpy, Campus Square is in a very, very sorry state. It looks terrible and uninviting. The wear and tear on the these poor seats is neglect that did not happen overnight. How is it possible that seating, with so much damage, in such a popular place, can be acceptable? There are no signs apologizing for the state of the seating and that replacement will happen soon. Not a peep from the waiters apologizing on behalf of management. Nothing. It is what it is, it seems. ...

Worst service I've ever received. We were a family of 4 ordered breakfast and our drinks took forever and there were so many things wrong from get go. There was no ice and no water. One of our drinks which was a milkshake was so watery we had to send it back. Our food eventually came after waiting for ages and we were not impressed at all. The restaurant had probably 10 people sitting in and the service was so slow. The waiter that served us reeked of alcohol and seemed to have not bathed at all. Totally unacceptable serving people food with that stench coming from a waiter. Then they still give me attitude for not wanting to tip after the awful service. Definitely will not be returning to that...
