Geronimo Spur — Restaurant in George

I eat here almost weekly and I cannot get over the arrogance and negligence of the employees at this spur. I keep coming here because of my friends and it really is close to home. On Sunday the 6th Jan 2024 the waitress, who never even introduced herself, was so slow that we had to wait a while after receiving our drinks before she could take our order which would have made sense that she takes the order as she gives us our drinks. She was not very present either that when I asked one of the waitresses passing by for serviettes, but she never came back at all. I then asked the colored gentleman manager who was very close to our table standing but was so high and mighty that he decided to delegate the task to another employee when he could have just passed the serviettes. Our waitress was eventually around and because my burger was so filing, I decided to take my veggies home. She brought me a cardboard container and I put all these veggies inside. As we are wrapping up, the container starts to drip, and we had to we had to wait for a few minutes at the entrance as I had asked for different packaging. Too much attitude and negligence for me at this restaurant in general! I just don’t like their atmosphere towards non-white customers! Something needs to change! My husband I decided on eating at Spur last night after an exhausting drive from PE, then to work, and just wanted some time to relax and enjoy our meal. The Welcome we received by a black lady with long braids was absolutely amazing, not often are we greeted that way,Spur.. Hold on to her, she will take your business far. Then the Newby, a young chap from Beaufort West, was a sweet pie. Keep him, he's good for your business's as well. We ordered a combo, mushrooms and chicken wings, however didn't we find that the wing was about to take off, still had the feathers on and was cooked some like that😢. The turnaround of that situation was exceptional. Your manager Cheryl came to our rescue, without a flinch she sorted out the food, even came with extra chips and onion rings, our main was even amazing, especially my hot veggies. Keep the staff that is doing a great job, those who are coming to work with a don't care attitude should not be there to bring your business dlown. Just want to compliment Geronimo Spur on their excellent service and fantastic food.

What made this exprrience so darn good is the fact that our waiter was over joyed when he greated us at the door, let us to the table and made sure that this was what we wanted. During the service I was observing this young man tending to his tables with passion and attentuon to detail for every table he attended to. Keanan, you will be a fantastic Manger and Leader. People will be drawn to you beacause of your personality, fiery passion and for the joy you carry.

May your employer realise what an asset you are and promote you from Trainee Manger to Manager with no delay, as it is clear that you are ready for the next step.
