The Fish Shop takes you back the old days when these almost exclusively the definition of fast food.

It’s situated in the commercial centre of Plettenberg Bay and even on a weekend, was one of the few small stores still open and trading when others had closed up shop for the day.

A big shoutout to Chante for working virtually by herself and still delivering great service.

The fish was well-prepared and tasty, but we would have appreciated old school “slap chips”.

But that really is a minor issue.

There’s ample space to sit outside, giving the impression it’s designed to be a takeaways – and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Turnaround time for a big order was acceptable and it was served hot and tasty.

Well I was very disappointed in the quality of the food.I use to eat here everyday when I was in the area two years ago.I ordered my usual fish and calamari ( wich use to be so dam good)...the fish was so overcooked its was dry.The calamari was so salty without me even adding any seasoning and they to were way over cooked.Both the fish and calamari were dark brown from being in the oil to...

Good fresh hake fish and chips resturant. Good value of money fish meal. It has many tables looking in high deck looking to the street with side view to the sea.
