It’s lovely to see the restaurant back open with a great new menu!My mom and I went for lunch. The cute little restaurant serves genuine Japanese food from ramen to boa buns to poke bowls. We grabbed boa buns, which proved to be a tasty lunchtime meal! Joel, the chef, is more than happy to chat about the menu items and explain the locally grown ingredients. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to eat genuine Japanese food! P.S: the restaurant is dog friendly too.

Green Parrot is simply the best ramen experience I have had in South Africa. The owner and chef was eager to engage and serve us. His passion is evident in this breathtaking cuisine. If you want real ramen then this is the place for you. Don’t be shy to try the small plates and the deserts are outstanding.

Best ramen dish you’ll find in Durban! Tonkotsu (pork belly) my personal favourite. Noodles made from scratch. Chef Joel keeps things authentic and maintains the balance of flavour. Delicious!

Arbitrary.

Service very casual but pleasant enough.

The Chicken Tom Yum soup was the best out of the meals. But at just under R100 per serving it should be the best (not quite there yet).

The overpriced Calamari smelled fishy and tasted very unpleasant. The sauce it was served on did not really do anything for the dish at all.

Steamed pork buns ok.

Lava cake the absolute highlight after the meal but that’s right.......the waiter came back to tell us they had nonešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Mud cake is a mud cake and shop bought Vanilla ice cream stays shop bought.

A nice place for a large group that do not mind waiting too long or expecting a high level of table side attention. Kind of when you are happy to party as a group and just have servers supply a steady chain of random...

After seeing a review recently, my husband and I decided to give this establishment a try yesterday. We walked in and we were just looked at by the waitress who was sitting and having a good old conversation with an employee from a neighboring restaurant. We looked around and asked the lady if she worked here. She said yes and whilst sitting down, says you can sit anywhere and continued with her conversation. I said to her "you are not very welcoming" and we decided to leave. Pathetic attitude and disappointed to have driven all the way to get this...
