The Curry Court — Restaurant in Msunduzi Local Municipality

Wanted to love this place. Could not. Admittedly arrived at an odd time - 15h30 Sat. Viwe at front of house was initially absent, then disinterested and incompetent. (Not suitable for a client-facing role) Ordered mutton and chicken curry - both with rice - asking for less oil. Despite requests, the meal came swimming in oil. After replating, it became apparent that the sambals (KZN style - mix of tomato, onion, chili and dhania) had sugar mixed in. Unusual. Culinary fail. Then the bean roti was also sweet. Have not encountered this in India nor other KZN curry meals. Kitchen staff were pleasant - could have run front of house. Only conclusion is that this (previously recommended) place has either changed mgmt or lost key staff. Stay away until...

I had the absolute pleasure of tucking into a delicious vegetable breyani here on Tuesday. A friend recommended it and described it as "wedding breyani".... A term given by Indians to delicious, flavourful, aromatic vegetable breyani, that one normally ONLY finds at Indian weddings. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed... It was just that. Filled with fresh delicious veggies, soft potatoes... Thick tasty dhall and the perfect raita....

Today I bought 2 mutton bunnies which came to R100 each in one bunny I got 3 pieces of meat and half a potato in the other I got 2 pieces of meat and a quarter of a potato, the flavor of the bunny was Allright nothing to scream about however, definitely not value for money we actually feel kind of ripped off.
