Update:
A slightly disappointing return. The fish itself was fresh, including a good piece of snoek (hooray for winter). But the oil is clearly old — you can smell the staleness as you come in and it’s particularly evident on the chips. And then batter is a bit soggy — probably the temperature of the oil isn’t high enough.
