Hooters Ruimsig — Restaurant in Roodepoort

I recently visited Hooters Ruimsig in Roodepoort, and it was a mixed experience. Here's what stood out during my visit:

Atmosphere and Location The atmosphere at Hooters Ruimsig is lively and fun, with a sports bar vibe that's perfect for hanging out with friends or watching a game. It's in a convenient location, so it's easy to get to. The décor is what you'd expect from a Hooters—bright, with plenty of TVs showing sports.

Food and Drinks I ordered a variety of food, including wings, fries were crisp and tasty, but I was a bit disappointed with the wings, which had a slightly dry taste. portion was smaller than expected, but it was quite flavorful. As for drinks, the beer was ice-cold, which was a plus.

Service and Staff This is where my experience went downhill. The service was incredibly slow. It took ages for someone to take our order, and when the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm. The waitstaff didn't seem very attentive, and when we asked for something, they often forgot or took too long to bring it. I also noticed that some of the staff were more focused on chatting with a group of regulars than attending to other customers.

Management and Overall Experience I didn't have any interaction with the management, but I overheard another group complaining about a billing issue, and the response was less than helpful. The general feeling was that the staff were more interested in socializing than providing good service. This left me feeling like a lower priority as a customer.

Conclusion Overall, Hooters Ruimsig has a fun atmosphere, but the service and food quality left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick drink and watch a game, it might be worth a visit. However, don't expect speedy service or outstanding food quality. I might give it another try on a less busy night, but my first experience...

WE COULDN'T GET PASS THE ENTRÉES

We were at Hooters to watch the 2022 WC final (France v Argentina) and it was my first time eating at the well-known American Franchise, I was really excited to try their food and watch some footy. Our group consisted of my Girlfriend and her 3 cousin's (2 of which are Vegan), the atmosphere for the game was great and the drinks cold!

The plan was to order a couple of starters to watch the game and then move on to mains later. We ordered 10 BBQ boneless wings, 4 sliders and 2 Garden Salads (for the Vegans) the menu listed the Garden Salad as is and made no mention of its contents (The waitress was asked what was specifically inside it and replied that's it's just a normal garden salad). Our waitress looked 16 and truly lacked etiquette or a basic understanding of good customer service.

The food arrived and it was underwhelming to say the least.

The boneless wings are not wings at all but rather share the consistency of KFC chicken pops or Nuggets (It's a chicken filling in batter) and the BBQ flavor was almost non existent! I wanted wings not chicken pops! The "Garden Salads" arrived smothered in grated cheese (SO NOT A NORMAL GARDEN SALAD which our tween waitress failed to mention when asked) which obviously meant our Vegan constituents couldn't eat them not to mention the salad was soggy accompanied by a pool of brown water on the bottom of the plate. 4 out 5 of us were disgusted (Apparently the Sliders were just ok).

We decided to rather enjoy the Football and got more drinks to wash down the disgusting taste of the food (those of us that could eat).

Truly horrible experience! I'm sure the other Hooters restaurants are alot better than this one and I would highly recommend going...

The food needs improvement, vs the Fourways and Emperors,the food needs to be looked at. I rather visit 4ways and the palace for a proper meal. The wings don't even taste the same. The vibe reminds one of an old 80s pub, stuck in time and outdated, matches the manager. The staff although welcoming and warm are vainglorious and walk around with a Beauty queen imperiousness attitude. I would much rather visit another branch with friendlier staff. The barlady, made a couple of errors, with many drinks. Anyone can pour a beer, please stick to mixing oros and water. It's not a problem to send food back if it's wrong.

When you ask about the issues the manager from the 80s becomes aggressive and rude. Being a sports bar, we ordered sat down, ate and watched the cricket. We were asked to leave after we ate,the place was empty. Please go back to the 80s. More comfortable at 4ways or emperors. Won't be visiting ever again

The waitresses behave like they are part of sorority school. Please show some maturity. It's not customers VS the sorority hooters waitresses. Please rotate the staff so they can learn, how to treat customers and talk to customers. The barlady needs to be rotated so she can learn how to mix a drink not only oros. Simple drinks, 2 to 3 ingredients, how do you get it wrong.

Prefer to drive out of little falls to Fourways. Ruimsig is a pox on hooters steller services and...
