If could write this review without giving it any stars I would. On my pizza arriving, I asked for chilli and garlic. Like at EVERY OTHER pizza establishment I have visited I assumed these were on the house. It definitely was at a pizza place at Crayfish Wharf a few days earlier. Here, a bowl of fresh chilli arrived. I did not eat it, as I am unable to. I did not touch it. Yet, I got charged for it. The waiter indicated that I had to pay for it. I asked to speak to the owner. About 10-15 minutes later Chris arrived. Arrogant (he could not take the chilli off my bill as he would be compromising Covid protocols), threatening (told me he was a lawyer and showed me that I was on a security camera, later followed me to my car and proceeded to take photographs of me), accusatory (claimed he could not verify that I had not touched the chilli, where were his cameras then?) and a power player (made me wait about ten minutes, had a telephone call in full view of me, had all his staff visibly apprehensive, and followed me to my car). Would Chris have treated a white patron in the same manner? I venture to say never! The pizza and service at Crayfish Wharf was far more superior. Stay away from Blikkies, if not for the pizza, for the lousy unprofessional that Chris is!
Chris threatened to sue me. I wonder whatever for. But I hope he does, so looking forward to seeing...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Blikkie Pizzeria in Paternoster, and the picturesque setting overlooking the ocean and beach at sunset was truly breathtaking. The ambiance created a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening.
The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the dinner with a view. The sunset painted the sky with vibrant hues, casting a mesmerizing glow over the ocean. The outdoor seating provided an ideal vantage point, allowing patrons to soak in the beauty of nature while enjoying their meal.
However, the dining experience was marred by subpar customer service. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, leading to delays in receiving orders and a lack of communication. Improving customer service would undoubtedly enhance the overall dining experience at Blikkie Pizzeria.
On to the main attraction – the pizza. While the setting was exceptional, the same cannot be said for the pizza. It was decent but fell short of impressing. The flavors were average, and the crust lacked the desired crispiness. Blikkie Pizzeria might benefit from refining their pizza recipes to match the breathtaking scenery that surrounds their...
Read moreGreat pizzas, however when we visited today we just wanted 4 x soft serves. The lady informed me that the cost for the 4 x soft serves will be R 40.00. I paid cash with a R100 note. She disappeared into the kitchen entrance with the cash. In the interim they started serving the Soft 🍦 2 at a time which I held till I was served all 4. Then the lady appeared with my change which was a single R 20 note partly rolled up and folders up in order that it appears to be more than one note ( it should have been 3 x R20 notes) but because my hands were filled with soft serves I managed to take the change and place it in the top pocket of my shirt and because I assumed it was 3 x notes it was placed rolled up together in my top short pocket. Only after we had left and finished the soft serves I took the change out and unrolled the bundled up R 20 note(s) I discovered I was robbed of R40 and there was only one rolled up R20 note in my pocket. BE VERY AWARE OF THE STAFF ROBBING YOU BU SHORT CHANGE YOU. This criminal trick was professionally done which is a clear indication that this was not the first time they rob customers. Best to avoid...
