Really a terrible experience and future diners are advised to avoid eating here. Extremely poor service, unfriendly, unhelpful disgruntled staff providing small, very greasy undercooked portions of fish & chips in a sloppy, tardy manner.

The prices they charge for such shocking food warrants spending a bit more money and eating at one of the more established “commercial “restaurants” known for their quality meals.

I am all for supporting members of the local community in benefiting from tourism to this popular holiday destination, but those community members need to put in effort, pull up their socks, provide a decent service and decent meals that are properly prepared instead of them sullenly complaining that they are unhappy with their boss and have no data to take credit card payments. Get your act together or remain perpetually impoverished!

However, on a brighter note, the other sea food take-aways run by community members on the other side of the square provided friendly service, more than ample sized tasty meals and are to be recommended. Eat there...

Sadly we will not be able to confirm if the rumours about the new ownership not getting it quite as perfect as the previous owners. But was keen to give them a chance! Arrived at 2 to be see a closed sign. Asked the lady who was still wiping off if we could still order and she told us everything was shut down and the oil cold. Much to our dismay as we were a group of 8 who walked a few kms to have lunch at one of our fav Paternoster spots. Between the new owners and Google they got the opening hours wrong (until 3 on a Sunday Google states). Perhaps once they have sorted this small detail out we will be back. Still...

My order of hake and chips plus fanta was taken. I was the only customer waiting. My hake was placed in oil to fry. Both ladies then sat at counter with cell phones, my fish forgotten in fryer. The fish was so dry, it could only be eaten at home, drenched in mayonaise. Very very dissappointing and definitely not reccomendable anymore. Personally I will never support them again.
