The snack platters, eggs benedict, cheesecake and dessert spreads are to die for. They are really well plated and offer a nice balanced flavor that's almost unexpected. There are a bunch of other meal options and a variety of drinks which are always welcome on those hot summer days.

The faces of children staring at you while you eat cheapens the experience, like KFC asking for R2. More suitable as an outdoor sign than right where guests eat. Still, I commend you for taking a stand, few businesses are socially responsible these days

EDIT: Being a visitor I didn't know this. Given the work you guys are doing, having done a little extra research, I think it's fantastic that you guys are so involved in making a difference. Conscious capitalism and outreach through community support is really commendable.

From arrival to departure Cathy's is just an experience never to forget. I find South African staff in the service industry much more friendly than up north in Namibia. We ordered Egg Benedict, perfectly made, great presentation, and sauce hollandaise to die for. They had to ask if I want my eggs runny (which is the way) or hard. If you eat your eggs hard, Egg Benedict is not for you and your preference does not filter down as my frustration when ordering. I vote Cathy's the award for best mussels ever. We were there during breakfast and enroute home - hubby had to have the mussels. It wasn't on the menu - it was on the daily Specials board. I don't usually enjoy mussels and I had 3. On this day the mussels were plumb and fresh - the spicy sauce was so so delicately delicious (not the usual white garlic sauce). My hubby loved the mussels so much he even agreed to have his experience videod and shared on social media. I had the bobotie pancake which was also good. There's inside and outdoor seating.
