DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING AND HIGHLY OVERRATED.

Summarized points: Below average service. 40-45 minute wait for 3 pizzas on a quiet midday Saturday service. Soggy pizza. Overloaded ingredients and canned pineapple were used.

Full review: Being new to the area, Giuseppe's pizzeria has been highly recommended online as a great pizzeria to visit, and today I finally had lunch at the establishment. What a truly disappointing experience. I am genuinely concerned how this place has such a high online rating.

Upon ordering at 1:20pm, we only received our 3 pizzas at 2:00pm. Given that the establishment was not busy at all and we were the second people to place our order.

With only 1 waiter serving everyone, she could not properly attend to everyone, as more people started to arrive after us.

Lastly, and most importantly. The food. THIS WAS POSSIBLY THE WORSE WOOD OVEN PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD. The pizza near the end had well crusts but were extremely soggy near the inside, you couldn't even lift the pizza while eating. Quite oily too. And CANNED PINEAPPLE was used on my pizza, I certainly don't think that's how 'authentic Italian pizza' supposed to be.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at Guiseppe’s Pizzeria in Somerset West and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The wood-fired pizza I had was nothing short of delicious , the perfect thin base and fresh, high-quality ingredients that made each bite a true delight for the taste buds.

Not only was the food outstanding, but the venue itself has a relaxed and casual Italian atmosphere that made the experience all the more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant.

I can confidently say that the pizza I had at Guiseppe's was one of the best I have eaten in a very long time. Anyone that complains can only be void of taste buds or should consider going to a more generic pizza fast food establishment. I cannot wait to return. I’ve been a loyal customer of Giuseppe’s since the very beginning, long before Daisy and her husband took over. Sadly, I have to say that the quality of the pizza has dropped to an all-time low.

While the standard was still decent during Daisy and her husband’s time, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a takeaway pizza last night, and it was honestly inedible. The base was dry, there was hardly any cheese, the avocado was black and clearly overripe, and the chicken was also very dry. I managed just two bites before throwing the entire pizza away.
