‘Undiscovered gem’, comes to mind after our experience at the Oak Terrace. It proved to be the perfect setting for a calm and relaxed birthday gathering and gourmet lunch (on any given day). We booked the Bistro (beautifully decorated interior with a fireplace for those cold days), but were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the luscious garden on a sunny day (outside area is called Oak Terrace). They also have the cosy, gorgeous Magnolia section, ideal for enjoying wine or whisky, perfectly paired with their two small plates (at R 300 for two at the time of writing, the equivalent of one main meal) and a dumpling starter.
