The oldest pub in Stellenbosch, or was it the country? Either way, it is a taproom nesstled between coffee shops and office space. Needless to say the area it is situated in has been modernizing. Yet the humble beginings of the place is still vissable on the walls through countless photos and memorabilia dating from...well... well before anyone alive today has been born. A coin collection decorates the inside of the bar counter area and a fire place can be found in one of the corners.

Be careful if you intend on visiting the pub on a Friday or Saturday night. It plays host to a array of students.

We stopped by yesterday for a quick bite while strolling the street market. Ordered a simple pizza with a side of chips and toasted chicken and mayo sandwhich. This took an hour to get to us. They were not busy. It was hot, everyone was hungry and the uninterested attitude of the staff was appalling. No manager in site to talk to about the issues we had. Such a simple, quick bite turned into a torturous wait. Never again. Two positives, the sandwhich was lovely and the music was great but the pizza...

This place is disgusting. Cleanliness clearly means nothing here. We were there just an hour ago — sat down at the table and immediately got our clothes dirty. The benches were in terrible condition, like someone had been walking on them with muddy boots. It's a complete disregard for customers.
