Nice venue but incredibly poor service and management. Arrived 40 minutes after doors opened for the day, greeted without a smile and was given hesitation when asked if we could join two tables as we were to be a group of six. Was the fourth or fifth table so was surprised when our drinks took so long to arrive. Food arrived after a long wait, with a meal missing. Waitress did not come to check on us after food was dropped off and we had to get up and enquire about the missing meal. Her response was that it was ordered and she would check the kitchen but she did not return with an update. Had to follow up with a lady in a white collared shirt (assume management) who came to our table and rather aggressively stated that the meal had been ordered but taken to a different table, not apologising. Meal finally arrived once everyone else at the table had finished their food, but missing the side! Management had to return and confirm the side that we had ordered, making it clear that she did not bother to check the docket or it was not ordered in the first place. Apologies were short and seemed reluctant, although we had been polite through everything. Waitress did not check up on us and again we had to get up to order the bill.

Service mistakes are understandable in a new restaurant but to handle it so badly and with anger or frustration rather than genuine apology is poor form.

Am a huge fan of Paarl Brauhaus so unfortunate that this local addition is not shaping up well.

Staff was very friendly and respectful. We were already tipsy when we got there however, Scholar (waitress) treated us with the outmost respect, we were so grateful for her frequent checks on our table ♥ . She was very attentive and paying attention to details n our needs.

The upper restaurant was actually recommended by a staff member from Ocean basket since they haven't obtain their Liqour license yet for the new place after their movement from the old place. Thank you gentlemen.

I'd recommend their starters since we enjoyed them more over thn our main course/sharing platter. Lamb croquettes were very tasty n mouth watering ♥ n my partner had fancy chicken wings - full wings not winglets for starters n their sauces - I'm still speechless 😶 👌 😋 ...there was a white sauce that tasted like it was made with fresh cream or yogurt served with the wings...wow! what an excellent...❤️ 🤭 😋

Cocktails 🍹 Passion fruit n gin cocktail was super nice n well presented n their wines were also so affordable to pair them with the main course -Chardonnay.

Ambience - it was okay ish....no background music was allocated for us and we'd often get distracted by very loud laughter from other tables....

The Window seating area would really be nice with controlled roller blinds in cases where a customer finds herself uncomfortable from too much glare or sunshine from...

Alcohol is watered down. The food is very average. Pizza’s are tasteless. Jalapeño poppers are the only thing worth ordering. Cocktails tasteless. No idea how to make a pina colada. I sent it back to put more alcohol in because it tasted like a smoothie (a poor one at best). The bartender then added alcohol - made it taste worse. Got two strawberry daiquiri’s afterwards which once again tasted like a smoothie. At R75+ per cocktails surely you should taste some alcohol? We then ordered a brandy special that tasted like watered down coke then once again went straight back to the barman to pour again after complaining to the manager (because I didn’t want the waitresses taking heat). The place honestly has potential. Nice live music but everything was just substandard. Went to Die Akker afterwards for some actual alcohol. Would...
