Read moreHad a very disappointing buffet breakfast at Stonebreakers. All the "hot" breakfast items were cold. I ordered a poached egg which never arrived and received a fried egg instead, when all my other breakfast items had already been eaten due to them taking forever to poach 1 egg. The service was extremely slow, even though the place was empty. I'd hate to find out what its like during peak or busy seasons. The staff seemed half asleep. The coffee was cold and tasted more like diesel, than an actual brew. This was the MOST horrible meal I've ever had. Definitely not worth the R390 bill that came with it. I hope Protea Hotel seriously does an overhaul of its restaurant. One expects far better from an establishment located on the V&A Waterfront. We had a much better experience at the Protea Hotel in Mowbray. Please don't bother eating at Stonebreakers, there are much better places to eat at on the V&A with reasonable prices and...

You could pilot it 1 Sunday per month and grow it as interest increases. I was a bit sad to hear of the unavoidable retrenchments. I missed some familiar faces...
