I finally got to have a solid legit milmyeon and realized how all the other places that boasted of their famous milmyeon misrepresented milmyeon. Now I finally know what it’s supposed to be and it’s good. It’s not dongchimi nengmyeon broth with flour based noodles. It’s not the taste of overly vinegary broth with dashi. The real broth has a deeper flavor. Really enjoyed it and I’m so glad it’s right next to the Busan Station. Got to have it before leaving the city. Husband who was born and raised in Busan also mentioned how this is what milmyeon is supposed to be. Will be back for more.
Dumpling on the other hand was just okay. Nothing memorable or fancy. Just good stuffed dumplings. Better than most but not something I’ll crave. Plus, it made us so full. With the list of must eat list at Busan, it’s not wise to eat so much in one restaurant.
Oh and don’t be intimidated by the lines. It moves pretty fast since their food comes out fast and cold noodles are usually eaten quickly. Also lots of people come before their train so...

Choryang Milmyeon is a must-visit if you’re in Busan and curious about local flavors. This spot serves up milmyeon, Busan’s iconic cold wheat noodles, and does it with simple perfection. The noodles are cooked al dente, slightly chewy, and served in a mildly sweet, chilled broth that’s incredibly refreshing—especially on a hot day.
What makes this place extra special are the custom sauces: one with a wasabi or horseradish kick, and another with vinegar, allowing you to tweak the flavor to your exact liking. It’s interactive eating that enhances the experience without overcomplicating things.
It’s also super affordable, making it perfect for travelers who want a quick, local bite without breaking the budget. And if you’ve only had naengmyeon in Seoul, this is a must-try. Busan’s take is totally different—heartier, bolder, and absolutely delicious. Highly...
Read moreGood food. Our group ordered both bibimmyeon as well as the naengmyeon respectively. The noodles were a good texture not too chewy.
Excellent soup They serve this complementary drink called yook-soo. It's like a hot soup and goes very well with the cold buckwheat noodles.
Bad customer service Our group finished the copper teapot of the yook-soo and asked one of the staff for a refill. They said yes and we waited.
Now's around the time our food arrives and we still did not get any yook-soo. So we ask again. This time to a different staff member. They also agreed and so we eagerly waited. Eventually we finished our meal and surprise surprise still no yook-soo. Something to note is that other customers that just arrived got prompt service and had a fresh teapot of yook-soo. Hence my mood was bad at the end of the meal, to...
