For it being such a popular and highly rated restaurant, it was definitely way under my expectations. The portion was small for the amount they charged, 36,000 won per serving 180g of spicy kalbi, they ran out of the unmarinated kalbi, and we went in at 4:30pm which was when they opened and there was already a line of locals on the waiting list, super popular. You have to start the ordering with at least 2 serving. The kalbi was average. The lady came to cook it for us which was nice of her because we were staring at the other table following them step by step. However, the lady server for our room(seems like they have one server per room) was inpatient and unwilling to help us and treated us differently because we were foreigners. She took out our charcoal before we even finished cooking all of our meat, albeit it was two pieces of bone but there were still significant chunks of meat on them. And it appears there's fruits that they serve after meal, which she brought to the other table but not ours. 🤨 Feeling unequal treatment. Soybean stew was a bargain though, 3,000 won for a big pot and it was very tasty! I was going to give two star , but I forgot my phone in the room and left, they were nice enough to rush out and find me after I used their washroom, so three stars it is. It was definitely a bustling place for locals, I think it's a great place if you speak the language. But the price doesn't reflect in the amount or quality of kalbi they give you. I wouldn't go back and I don't...

This was the main destination of our trip, so we showed up early for a queue ticket and got in right at 11:30. The restaurant is sparkling clean, service is incredibly friendly, and each person gets a neat, personal ban-chan tray.
Our group of four ordered 4 servings of saeng-galbi, 2 portions of the signature potato noodles, 1 soybean stew (with beef bones), and 4 rice bowls. Staff members expertly grilled the meat at our table, made potato noodles fresh, and brought out a stew simmered with galbi bones. Every detail was perfectly arranged—the entire meal felt generous and attentive.
This was truly the best saeng-galbi we've ever tasted, and it made for the absolute highlight of our Busan weekend food journey. Sharing top-quality beef and wonderful service with family became a priceless memory. And the watermelon served for dessert? The sweetest we've had this year!
Nothing to criticize—just pure gratitude. Wishing you continued success and thank you for...
Read more【Wait online, pricey, cook yourself, sit on the floor, crazy delicious Galbi!】 This place has a long history to be one of the famous restaurants in Haewoondae Busan. Galbi is crazy delicious! But be aware of long long waiting, no meat cooking service and sitting on the floor. Good thing is that you can wait in line online! We registered wait at 5:30 when number of waiting groups before us were 130! We were able to be seated at around 8 which took about 2 1/2 hours. The place keeps traditional look of Hanok which can be a little uncomfortable for those who are not used to sitting on the floor while eating but can be a nice local experience if you can endure. Another uncomfortable part is that you need to cook your own meat and the smoke CAN get in to your eyes and make you cry...
