A traditional Korean restaurant located within Gyeongju Gyochon Traditional Village. Food is ok, service not so nice, but they’re open after most places close for the post lunch break.
It is known for serving authentic Korean cuisine, with a focus on local dishes that reflect the flavors of the Gyeongju region.
The restaurant provides a traditional dining experience, often featuring set menus with a variety of banchan (side dishes), soups, and main dishes, offering a full spread of flavors typical of Korean royal or formal meals.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant complements the village's traditional setting, with a rustic, hanok-style interior that adds to the cultural experience.
The restaurant is said to be popular among both locals and tourists, so it’s recommended to visit during non-peak hours or make a reservation if possible.
Prices are reasonable considering the variety and quality of the food, though it leans more towards a mid-range to slightly higher-end dining experience.
The restaurant is conveniently located near other attractions in the village, making it a good option for a meal after exploring the area. It’s also an excellent place to try local specialties which include the crab and beef...

The restaurant property is very pretty with a nice courtyard. You take off your shoes and dine in private rooms. You sit on chairs, so you do not have to kneel or sit uncomfortably on the floor.
The food is esoteric, and is substantially different than anything we tried in Seoul (or in any Korean restaurant back in Canada).
We tried their specialty blue crab and the Hanwoo beef tartare soup. There was a nice variety of delicious kimchi and side dishes, including glass noodles and rice, which were a step above what we had tried so far in our trip. I did not think the prices were any more than any good Seoul restaurant. KRW50,000 for 2 persons.
I'd like to thank the hostess again for not forcing us to purchase the minimum two orders of their special blue crab. My wife would not eat it. I liked the marinated raw crab meat, guts and roe. But too much of new and raw food is never...
Read moreIt was our first night in Korea. We were cold and exhausted from a long day when we stumbled upon this place. Drawn by the beautiful exterior of a traditional hanok home, we had no clue what food they served here but thankfully, it ended up being delicious. They had an English menu, and the manager or owner was also able to converse in English, and helpfully explained and made suggestions to us. We had the raw marinated crabs (which you have to order a minimum of 2 pax) and beef bulgogi with banchan. The crabs had a nice spicy kick and the bulgogi was kid friendly, although we skipped adding gochujang as recommended. I think the price was fair considering the beautiful atmosphere and food quality. In fact I think the crabs here were cheaper than the restaurants i saw in seoul (but tbf i wasnt seeking it out so much). The service here was the friendliest throughout our 2...
