This beautiful traditional Hanok (guesthouse) was built 5 years ago by the owners, who are also your hosts. Although English is limited they will make you feel very welcome. Breakfast is included, and do notice the amazing floor in the breakfast room - sealed concrete made to look like a river flowing over the steps.||||The rooms are Hanok style - bare floor with rolled up quilts for bedding, with screen doors and exposed wooden beams. Modern additions are air conditioning (underfloor heating in winter), small fridge, TV and ensuite bathroom (toilet and shower). Rooms look onto the central courtyard garden.||||Location is in the middle of the old village, and so you wander around narrow alleyways between Korean tiled houses on you way to the tombs and temples. We loved our stay.||||Note to Westerners - Korean futon-style mats are MUCH harder than we expected. We received exceptional service - the host reached out pre-arrival confirm we have the right address and info to share with our taxi driver is needed. Upon arrival, she met us on the Main Street to walk us into the alley where the Soi Hanok Stay entrance is and was surprised with a gift of a bottle of wine in our room.
