흑돼지해물삼합 — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Stopped in to get lunch yesterday afternoon (since Naver map had this highly rated). I was the only customer there.

I sat down (solo female) and ordered a beer to drink while i looked at the menu. The waiter did not bring me the beer but instead hovered over me to see what else I was going to order. I pointed to a kimchi soup and a small order of shrimp (total maybe 22k - $20us), and he said no I had to order something from the 60,000kw+ menu.

So I left and went to a restaurant on the next block, where I was served with kindness and professionalism, and which had many full tables.

We went to this place after seeing such high ratings on Naver, but it’s clear that those stars are from an event they’re running. The waitress was extremely rude (it was clear she didn’t want to be there) and she purposely ignored us when we tried flagging her down. We were doing the nearby waterfall walk when we popped in for a late lunch. The server was friendly and attentive, the food was good and suited us well as there was Black Pork for my husband and seafood for me - portion was great, we added extra abalone and prawns.
