This was a great place recommend by my Korean tutor, I had mentioned I was going to be in the area for a class and she told me about this place, she said that it is on wind the top 2 in Seoul (I assume in her opinion) for Samgye Tang, I can say I wasn’t disappointed, it’s not in an obvious location but a Quick Look on NAVER maps made it easy 마당너른집 the restaurant is very traditional and felt very cosy, the chef who was also the one who greeted me was so welcoming and friendly, as a solo diner this is always much appreciated especially when in a country with a different language to your mother tongue, I was seated at a table quickly and brought over the side dishes 반찬 which were all great, I was given an English menu and looked through, there aren’t many dishes but if a place does a dish well, it doesn’t need many other things, I opted for the original version which suited me as it was my first time try but they had a few alternatives too, there was also an egg dish but the chef advised me both plates would be too much since their portions are not tiny, I’m glad I took his advice.
