59 Stairs Wine Bar — Restaurant in Seoul

What an unexpected find! One of the most unique places I visited in Seoul. While wine is something I'm still learning about and exploring, at 59 Stairs I had the pleasure of finding about "Natural Wine", which is wine that has been made the way they made it hundreds if not thousands of years ago. Grapes are harvested, fermented and bottled, with as little intervention as possible. No flavoring, no pesticides, no herbicides and no chemicals are used in making this wonderfully full flavored wine. While the wines were outstanding, the ambiance of 59 Stairs was the real star. A dark and gothic inspired theme was the last thing I expected when I entered the bar. The music was loud enough to make it feel intimate but not so loud you had to shout to be heard. If you are able to get a seat by the windows, there's a great view to what looks like a whole other world. Not to repeat myself but 59 Stairs is the most unique and unexpected...

Great wine/cocktail bar nestled among the rooftops along a narrow alleyway. Honestly you'd miss it if you weren't aiming for it! As named, there are 59 steps to the bar up top, there's a cafe/bar one level below and a rooftop above. The cocktail bar gives New York vibes with its large loft style windows.
