Gombawie has been since 1983 and specializes in Korean Barbecue. The restaurant has been listed in Michelin Guide since 2017 continuously to year 2024.

A Cow has 4 stomachs, the first one is Beef Tripe (양), the second is honeycomb Tripe (벌집양 or 벌집위), the third is Omasum (천엽) and the forth is Abomasum (막창 or 홍창). There are many Charcoal Grilled Menu and the signature ones are:

Prime Beef Tripe (특양): It is not seasoned, so I can feel the unique taste and texture of the Beef Tripe. The special chili soy sauce is the perfect match with it, is harmonious with sweet & salty taste, and along with Charcoal Grill, it is light and super delectable! Beef Abomasum (막창): It is the 4th stomach of cow and only 400 gr is available from one cow. It is also called HongChang. It is chewy and savory.

Korean Style Beef Tartare (raw beef, 육회): It can be good appetizer to start. Marinated Beef Rib (양념갈비): Even though it may not be a signature menu for the restaurant, it is tasty with its own secret sauce absorbed in the beef.

I also recommend: Vegetable Stew with Beef Tripe (곱창전골): Gombawi has different style, very tasty. The broth is rich. The dish is recommended as the last menu with stir-fried rice.

Prices are not moderate but the tasty dishes result it good satisfaction. Valet parking is available for comfortable visit and there are many rooms for private dining. The staffs are providing dining and grilling service who are kind...

Look the food is good but not for the outrageous prices they are charging & I am from NYC and do a lot of fine dining there and I am saying this is a rip off. The portions are tiny for like 63,000 won & 39,000 won per serving.

The service was terrible. We came in at 9p, they close at 10p. They kept reminding us they are closing soon & breathing down our necks. Literally, standing by the table while we ate. They made sure we finished our meal by 9:20p. Maybe they thought they can treat us like this because we are tourist and we look kind of young.

Also they charged us 50,000won extra 💀 Luckily, I can read Korean & realized they gave us the wrong receipt but this is a huge mess up because what if you’re a non Korean who can’t read the receipt (like my husband)?

I was going to let this overpriced and terrible dining experience slid until they overcharged us. Unacceptable to get the calculations so wrong, to have such bad service, tiny portions, and rushing your...

The food was delicious and clean, as recommended by the Michelin Guide. However, the unpleasant questions and bad behavior of the valet service staff after the meal made me lose my taste for the food. Don't expect a valet service either. On the way out after having a meal , as soon as I went to the parking, the parking guy asked me why I was coming out of there... Did I really eat here?...huh? I don't know where the valet company is... but I am very disappointed. no matter how I felt, he kept saying that to me, don't go out after eating and come straight to the parking lot.. Haha, why are you working as a valet? You don't even apologize and don't even talk to me... thanks to you, ruined...
